FYI, I compared ASBUILTS from MY23 Lariat and more but cannot find anything in IPC, DSM, etc. that would lead me to believe this DTC can be mitigated. It can be cleared but remains persistent.FWIW, I tried just about everything under the sun to get another vehicle's pad to work in my truck and nothing would stop a 'silent' dtc regarding it. Everything functions as it should, but there's an error popping up under the IPC that's only showing in diagnostic programs. No wrench or functional issues. Just my OCD wanting to clear it.
The seat pad assembly is the OCSM, it's on the HS2 bus and talks to the IPC via the GWM. I've found through other testing that the (unrelated) running the program function on the IPMA will program the VIN numbers into the radar units. Given the changes via forscan I've made, I have no intention of 'programming' everything on the HS2 bus followed up with the IPC.
If someone does eventually find a fix for this silent DTC, do let us know

AI leads me to believe we just have to live with it because our XLT did not originally come with DSM, "Yes, there are documented instances of other Ford F-150 PowerBoost owners encountering the U0509 DTC after retrofitting a Driver Seat Module (DSM). This issue commonly arises when the DSM is added to a vehicle not originally equipped with one, leading to communication errors between the DSM and other modules on the vehicle's CAN bus."
Yes, for me too it's a matter of OCD but I do wonder if others have it also, i.e. misery loves company.
