I honestly don't even hear it anymore. If anyone nearby is annoyed, I know they won't run in front of me at least. ?‍

The ghost sound my wife's BMW makes actually annoys me more.

Powerboost thing- it is required bc people cannot ‘hear’ the truck when the engine is not running. Most of the time, reverse is in electric mode.

Yes, order the speaker bypass kit from Megaohm
Just select "F150 PowerBoost Kit". install is easy and no more annoying noise while backing up.

I would also recommend ordering the Ford Billet Fuel Door Pin to replace the OEM plastic pin. Easy Install and don't have to worry about the plastic pin breaking because the one from MegaOhm is aluminum. see link below

Question about the fuel door pin. If you have to pop open the fuel door using the provided tool, is it still going to pop open with this pin in place?

I've removed the noise maker from both of the vehicles that came with them. There is no law requiring a beeping noise for backing up and I don't care to sound like a dump truck. I cut tags off of electrical devices that tell you to not use them in the shower. If you can't see my vehicle backing up and I can't see you in one of my mirrors / cameras, the meeting was ordained by a higher power. A retarded beeping sound coming from the front end won't change that.

I understand the need for safety and security, but engines these days, gas or electric are very hard to hear unless you drive a diesel or larger pickup. I feel like the sensors that alert you of anything near your truck is better security than the reverse alarm. Just my opinion

I finally received my 2024 F150 Powerboost and loving it so far. One thing I am not sold on is the beeping alarm when the truck is in reverse. Is there anyway to change the setting on this feature?

One thing to consider..... the reverse beeping is a safety warning. Just remember that if, lord forbid, someone gets injured during a backing incident with your truck and the alarm was disabled you may be in hot water. Not sure if insurance company would support you.

I thought you could get rid of the beeping with Forscan.

I haven't tried it with Forscan but I heard it will show a soft code and that is why we are installing what @WillB17 (Megaohm) sells.

I would take that chance.....imo
Because all the safety stuff we have now
Emergency braking, adaptive cruise, lane centering etc probably has saved or vastly mitigated deaths etc
Yet insurance industry gives little discount for the "damages" they save
But charges more, because these systems cost more to repair???

yes, it works on the 2024 Powerboost. I’ve had one on my XLT for about two months. No codes no lights works wonderfully gets rid of the beep as well as that crazy artificial turbine engine sound.

Flip the forscan bit and you can plug in and unplug the PACM whenever you want. The pacm is arguably the easiest module to reach. Forscan mod just stops the DTC, it doesn't stop it from functioning.
