I would also highly reccomend getting these screen protectors for the 12'' screen as well as the Digital instrument cluster. I have the HD ones and it is awesome. It cuts down on the the fingerprints, glare and will protect the screens. Install is easy, just watch the installation videos before installing.Great, thank you
Yes, you can do it through ForScan and you also have to disconnect the PACM.I thought you could get rid of the beeping with Forscan.
Remember…..it’s federally mandated to be installed at the factory. It’s like a mattress tag. The owner can remove it, no law brokenYes, you can do it through ForScan and you also have to disconnect the PACM.
The pedestrian alert system is Federally mandated - FMVSS No. 141 requires HEVs to emit a pedestrian alert sound
This is a personal preference thing to me.... but I would rather my truck still show that PACM is connected and operational but not emit a sound. Rather than having the programming changes made and actually disconnecting the PACM. If something were to happen, Cut the zip ties & remove bypass and reconnect the speaker.
Appreciate the feedback. Honestly from inside the cab its not very noticable, however getting shit from my neighbors for the sonar sound is more of the inconvenience. When I got my 24 KR I was going to remove the beeper but after a short period of time I got used to it. Now I hear it but it doesn’t bother me. Wait a couple months before you replace it.
They need to be made aware of the awesomenessAppreciate the feedback. Honestly from inside the cab its not very noticable, however getting shit from my neighbors for the sonar sound is more of the inconvenience.
Until you accidentally hit a nun carrying a basket full of kittens and baby seals. Insurance will find a way to not pay out.Remember…..it’s federally mandated to be installed at the factory. It’s like a mattress tag. The owner can remove it, no law broken
You haven't met a good lawyer then yet.I doubt insurance companies could deny coverage. My agent called Allstate to see if I could be denied coverage if I overloaded my truck. No. If they could they would deny coverage if you run a stop light or were speeding or many other things. If they could they would never cover anything that was your fault.
