Delivery from Dearborn to Granger

A truck that old with that many miles, just like mine, cannot be worth much to a high-volume new car dealership. My truck is worth more to me.

I was considering keeping mine as well with what granger offered, but I’m getting almost $8k for it locally, so I’m good with that.

My truck supposedly arrived in Kansas City on 9/15. Wondering if it made the same convoy to Granger. Imagine I would have gotten word on Friday if it was delivered.

I’ve given up relying on the Ford tracker at this point.

I did the instant cash offer on Autotrader. Fill it out and it sends your vehicle info to several local dealers. I got a call within 30 minutes from the dealer who's buying mine.

I was actually disappointed with the offer Granger gave me on my trade. It’s a 2011 F150 Lariat with 190k, but it’s in very good shape. Maybe the mileage was enough that they were just going to take it to auction, hence the low offer? I’m selling it to a local dealership who offered me almost $3k more.

I have a 2010 XLT with just over 199K miles on it. It runs like a top but has some body rot on the rear driver's side. I wouldn't get much due to the age and body image. My plan is to donate the truck to Tunnel to Towers, to help wounded Vets and First Responders. They could sell it for parts and get more than selling it out right.

I have a 2010 XLT with just over 199K miles on it. It runs like a top but has some body rot on the rear driver's side. I wouldn't get much due to the age and body image. My plan is to donate the truck to Tunnel to Towers, to help wounded Vets and First Responders. They could sell it for parts and get more than selling it out right.

I’ve been in KC since 9/15. When I checked in with Chip earlier in the month my ETA to Granger was 9/24 - 9/30 which as of today has slipped to 10/1 - 10/7 while others continue to ship.

I won’t pretend to understand Ford’s logistics as at this point it feels completely random with respects to what gets shipped on vs. left at the ramp. It’s unfortunate they make a nice truck.

Interesting, when I spoke to Chip, he said mine is still tracking to deliver somewhere between September 28 and October 1. But my online delivery date has slipped to October 1 through October 7. That’s OK as long as I get it before I go to Colorado on an elk hunt, I’m good! That’s on October 22.

I’m not sure when mine arrived at KC, but it was shipped there on 8/27. I’m also awaiting shipment to Granger. My delivery date on the tracker has pushed back further every time I check it. It’s quite frustrating, to the point that I doubt I ever order a ford again. Not saying I won’t buy one, but I will likely just find one on the lot and pay more for it.

Pretty quick turnaround from a 8/2 order date. Delivering to granger. Let’s see if date holds! Production date was 9/18 and ship date of 9/19
