Yes. I ultimately replaced the front bumper cover which was a simple snap in. I've learned to live with the front grille crack but do have a case with my insurance company documented in-case I have a change of heart and decide to file a formal claim.
Here are the part reference #s:
Thanks! Wasn't able to get the tag as it happened so quickly, we got a little rattled and pulled over to inspect for damage.
Thinking I'll bring it by my local body shop on Monday for a second opinion on any damage and then decide on if it makes sense to go the insurance route.
For now I was...
Just completed the 1.2k mile 20 hour trek from Granger to Connecticut with my new F150! The vehicle itself performed flawlessly and overall I am very pleased.
We were the victim of a tractor trailer blowout that we were unable to safely avoid. Fortunately we were only traveling 50mph at the...
My 501A would have shipped from Dearborn the same day as Pierre’s (assuming the tracker is correct, which it probably isn’t) and bound for Granger but somehow I’m still 2+ weeks out and counting from estimated delivery while the vehicle sits in Kansas City.
I continue to scratch my head at how...
Nice!
I’ve been in KC since 9/15. When I checked in with Chip earlier in the month my ETA to Granger was 9/24 - 9/30 which as of today has slipped to 10/1 - 10/7 while others continue to ship.
I won’t pretend to understand Ford’s logistics as at this point it feels completely random with...
My truck supposedly arrived in Kansas City on 9/15. Wondering if it made the same convoy to Granger. Imagine I would have gotten word on Friday if it was delivered.
I’ve given up relying on the Ford tracker at this point.
I don’t think there’s a one size fits all answer here. Using my order as an example, my blend date was 7/17 (ordered in early April) but once assembled the vehicle had to go offsite for a bed liner and tonneau cover installation which can typically add a week or two to the production process...
I reached out to Chip at Granger for my monthly check-in and the latest is that the vehicle is in Melvindale at ramp 58, awaiting shipment. Per Vin View, it's showing a delivery range of 9/24 - 9/30. I'm a bit skeptic on those dates since it hasn't even shipped yet.
October 9th will be 6/mo's...
I just checked my tracker for the first time in a couple of weeks and ironically yesterday it went from “built” back to “order confirmed”. Clearly can’t rely on it.
That’s great news! No news on mine, I continue to be in “built” with my estimated delivery date slipping one business day as each day passes. Assume I’m either still on a QC hold or it’s lost in the shuffle.
Thanks! We pay a premium for these vehicles and when you see competitors with 25’s already on the lot you can’t help but scratch your head on why there are still build delays this late into the model year, particularly if it’s your personal order that’s delayed.
This forum was super informative...
Hopefully this is good karma for you, but I truly have mentally put this aside since last visiting the site on 8/17. Your follow-up prompted me to check my tracker which updated yesterday to “built” with an estimated delivery window to Granger of 9/20 - 9/27.
I’ve chalked up QC holds as a @Ford Motor Company “black hole” of sorts. Once your vehicle is “off the line” you have a higher probability of winning the Powerball (subtle sarcasm) than pinpointing a delivery date, which is unfortunate for the amount of money we spend on these trucks.
I can...
Congratulations, looks sharp! This is one of the quickest order to delivery dates I have seen for a KR. My Lariat 501A had a blend date of 7/17 but is currently on QC hold. Won’t be seeing it anytime soon I suspect but your experience gives me something to look forward to for my road trip from...
Same here. I had a blend date of 7/17/24 but my Lariat had to go offsite for tonneau cover installation (as expected, figured this would add a week or two which I was OK with). Been radio silence since so I decided to follow-up with Chip from Granger today who notified me that I am in QC...
