Today marks 1 year since placing the order! Original delivery window of 9/20-9/26 will be delayed as I've been told it's still in qual hold. Unsure of why I was given a delivery window when it never made it to 'built'.

That is insane. I would have lost my mind. What exactly did you order?

A 702a with a few options. Pretty much affected by every restriction but, still, have seen other similar builds completed before mine.

@Zeppelin - I'm on month 11 and I ordered a 702A with some add-ons. If you are having these issues, only God knows what delays I will have. At this rate I will be expecting Santa Claus to be leaving my truck under my Christmas Tree this year. Ford is trying my nerves.

Arrived! Granger Ford

I really don’t get how Fords shipping works. You and I both ordered a platinum which would’ve both been made in Dearborn. My truck was finished and shipped over two weeks prior to yours. But my truck has been sitting in KC for a month now and has an anticipated delivery date that’s two weeks from now. That makes absolutely no sense. How can it take a month and a half to ship a vehicle 600 miles. I somehow think it boils down to where your vehicle is parked when it’s taken off the train. if it was parked deep in a group of other trucks, you’re just unlucky and it’s going to be a month and a half to get delivery instead of two weeks.

i’m beginning to wonder why I’m paying $2000 to have this thing delivered.

I truly have no clue and they didn’t grab both? That delivered note came late this evening.

It makes zero sense- Ford's shipping/tracking. My truck was apparently on a semi before they even marked it built.

My 501A would have shipped from Dearborn the same day as Pierre’s (assuming the tracker is correct, which it probably isn’t) and bound for Granger but somehow I’m still 2+ weeks out and counting from estimated delivery while the vehicle sits in Kansas City.

I continue to scratch my head at how this is a sustainable business model but remind myself that those of us that participate on this forum represent a rounding decimal of prospective F150 buyers. I think it comes down to luck at the end of the day, which is kinda wild.

Platinum buyers are probably a decimal of that decimal.

Only Ford logistics could answer that question. But I do think it has to do with logistics and not who ordered when? The old first in and last out depending on what they can get to and how they shipped those trucks? But at the end of the day I don’t think it matters what model it is if that were the case, my platinum plus would’ve been delivered back in May. But instead, it stayed in the queue and was built whenever they said it would be built. I’m sure the guy at the delivery end and who’s driving the truck has a list of cars to pick up with a little signature card and he has little to do with which cars end up on his truck. He’s probably just responsible to make sure the Vehicles he has on his truck get delivered.

Ford seems tightlipped on their quality holds. Since my platinum was just delivered, I suspect whatever it was was fixed on the assembly line 1st? I’ve read a lot of rumors but no one has said this is the thing that’s holding up trucks. Having a brick job one 2021 F150 sitting in the dealership for over three weeks now I do hope they get those kind of things fixed. I’m told to platinum plus that I’m picking up soon from Granger Ford has most of those bugs worked out I sure hope so!
