Life enjoyment is about more than just "needs", my 'Life is short' post here applies.

Go for all the enjoyment you can afford, and only you know what that prudent budget limit is for you.

Your current vehicle doesn't have adaptive cruise????!!!!! I am surprised.

Is $2,500 and taxes and registry of MV fees and any dealer profit BS worth it to get those two features? Would you really use the PB enough to justify the expense?
Henfield is correct. I've had multiple EcoBoost's and now have a PowerBoost...not much difference. If your finances are good, kids colleges are in line and retirement is on track, then go ahead and waste the money. I doubt adaptive cruise and pro power is worth $10K to reasonable people. Smarter to get your truck paid off and plan better next time...or at least wait 3 mos and see if the itch goes away...
FYI...I sound way more realistic than I actually am and am better at giving advice than I am taking it (LOL).

I used my Adaptive Cruise Control for 2 years since I got the truck. Loved it, I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
About a month ago it finally got on my nerves. Can't stand it. You can have mine ?

Not everything about getting/being old is a bad thing.

Value Equations, such as the one the OP is asking about, are much less agonizing. You eventually get pretty good at it.

I could be happy enough with my impulse purchase of the 2021 Platinum Powerboost. But after a few months ownership, and getting to know exactly what I was enamored with, as well as what I wasn't, I special ordered another Powerboost configured EXACTLY how I desired.

2 years into the built-to-order truck, and I'm pretty sure I've posted plenty with how happy I am with it.

I have an eerily similar story. Had my 21, enjoyed it but wanted something that ticked all the boxes. Ordered what I wanted, am now paying much less in interest and thrilled with the truck. A wise man once told me something I'll never forget. A poor man looks at the cost, a rich man looks at the value. My $.02
