Dealership performed BlueCruise update, but still not working

I have an F-150 that has the BlueCruise prep package on it. I just took it into the dealer to perform the upgrade (it was listed as a recall). I just got the truck back today, but it still doesn’t seem to work. On the settings, I can select Lane Centering With Hands-Free. I also noticed under updated details it says “Not Completed”. It also says Priority Update 23-PU0110-RAD-PS.

Also in the Ford app, BlueCruise still says coming soon.

@jappleseed The dealer updated all the relevant modules for BC to function. If your Fordpass says coming soon, then I would call Ford customer care and tell them so they can flip the switch. I think all you need is for them to send the activation signal for it to work since it is a cloud based service.

I seem to still be getting the runaround. I called Ford connected services and they told me that I needed to take it back in to the dealership and tell the to call TAC. So did that on Wednesday. Yesterday the dealership said they have done everything they can do on their end and it is back on Ford. I called ford back today and they told me the same thing (take back to dealership). I’m not sure if dealership called TAC, they seem to be a bit wishy washy with what happened there. Is there a way to confirm a ticket was submitted by the dealership? What are my next steps?

Did you call customer service, or Fordpass that handles connected services?

800-336-0486 is where you want to call. I'll dig a little deeper on my end too and lyk if I find anything.

@jappleseed Don't bother calling Ford. I found the issue and double-checked with the local guru to confirm. Do you have FORScan?

I just looked into what this is, looks like I just need a $60 cable and the software. Is this something I can use to fix the problem myself? What is the issue? Can I have the dealership do this (although I’m kind of losing faith in them at this point)?

Search up ford vlinker on Amazon. $33-$35. You can fix it yourself in minutes. No need to deal with the dealer.

Basically that is it. When you get a laptop with OBD2 device and Forscan you might want to do some of the popular mods too along with fixing your issue.

Remember, before you do anything, save backup copies!
It is in the Forscan thread instructions link how to do that.
