This question is for the person that has a BlueCruise equipped truck, it functioned throughout their free trial period, but you decided not to pay for and continue with BlueCruise. Your subscription is expired.

Does your lane centering still work? I'm guessing it does. Does the nanny cam still watch you watching the road? I'm hoping against all odds it does not.

The nanny cam still watches. I know so because mine had the issue where it was expired when it shouldn't be and would still alert if I took too long to take a drink and it couldn't see my eyes.

I'm still playing w/ my F150, but when I get to the MME, I'm going to try and find a way to unplug the CMR to default it to the assist 2.0 (hands on wheel only mode) as the eye nanny is even worse in the MME. Its sensors are in the middle of the wheel under the IPC and simply having your hand at 12 oclock sets it off. While I don't keep my hands on the wheel in either vehicle, I do use my knee / leg on the wheel to provide enough torque to prevent it from firing off.

I use radar cruise w/ lane centering on most of the time. The MME turns off lane centering more than the F150 which I find a bit amusing considering the F150 is larger. It seems that the system performs better the higher the camera is located. The F150 will lane center on backroads the MME won't, which again is hilarious as it's several inches smaller in width and several feet shorter.

It'd be real nice if they patched out body lean making the camera think there's a change in the road -- in both vehicles it can start a jerking feedback loop as it turns, causes lean, sensor thinking road has changed directions, lets off then turns again. It's a system induced oscillation that's annoying and could be fixed by simply listening to the vehicle's gyros.

Maybe glass eye taped over the camera will fool the system? ? I wish it were that simple.

That was my thinking as well...

I don't believe it should be very hard to disable BC if you wanted with Forscan, there are only a handful of values that need changed to disable it. 95% of the rest of them deal with everything to enable ACC and lane centering. Just unplugging the CMR would just piss it off then nothing would work right I bet, just as if I enable BC settings on my truck without a CMR, then it becomes not happy at all.

My goal is to be able to put a switch in on its power-in to just kill it on demand so you can use it at will. Not sure if it will work but we'll see. It's my F150's fault I haven't gotten to it yet as my F150 has assist 2.0 which doesn't have the CMR, whereas the MME does. I'm the king of tangential projects and a simple audio install has morphed into many things including the ambient lighting (7 in cab) and in doors (8 total LED arrays, 2 per door).

Then the sub boxes on the market are poo for the price so I'm building a custom box for subs, and then I had this little 8 channel DSP amp I'm first putting in (well it's in, haven't played with it). Then there's the LFP battery install and a few other things. It's gotten about 6 miles on it in 6 weeks. On the plus side my lack of driving it has risen my insurance discount on the ford insurance up to 40% which is about to finish here in 2 weeks. 100k policy on it w/ 5k$ accessory coverage has dropped to ~$55/mo :D. I can't stay out of the throttle on the MME so it's only about 20%. I always seem to remember I'm in the 90 day audit window after I blast to 60 in ~3 seconds.
