Dash cam two channel 4K…

I’ve been looking into installing a two channel 4K resolution camera in my 2024 F150 KR. We plan on going on a road trip to the Smokey Mountains then to western Tennessee.

What recommendations (brands/models) for a 4K quality camera both day and night views and how much SD storage is suggested .
Your pros and cons are appreciated.

I went with Viofo A229. I love it. Whatever you get, you want it to have the Sony Starvis 2 sensor on it.

Check this guy out on YouTube, super knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to dashcams. Above is a recent upload with some solid info but He has many more in depth review videos and what not on his channel. You'll have to skip the radar detector part. I personally have a Vantrue N2X which I like but it sounds like you're wanting a fancier one.

I run Viofo in everything and have never had a problem. I even have one in my UTV which is more or less mounted outdoors in crazy elements which it’s not designed for and it runs great.

I have an A139 Pro 4K 2ch in my truck and it’s flawless.

I have a 2 channel Blackvue 970x. Also have their Power Magic battery installed under front seat so the front & back window cameras don't use the truck's batteries while recording when the truck is off. Two years and still very pleased with it.

I have this one and have been extreemly happy. Set it and forget it simplicty and under 50 dollars! Not fancy but good enough to do the job. Get the adapter for power and hookup is a breeeze. YMMV!

How much memory (sd card) is recommended?

I put 256GB Samsung Pro Endurance in my 3 Viofo dash cams that have Front, Rear recording to the uSD.
My Viofo A139 PRO manual says:
• The microSD card is sold separately. The microSD card must be High Endurance
type, have a UHS-U1/U3 or above rating and the capacity up to 256GB.

I have the 64GB Blackview micro-SD card that came with the unit. This model can accept a card up to 256 GB. 64 has been fine for my purposes so far. This dashcam is 2 years old and I don't know what the newer versions will accept. My son has a recent Blackvue and he put a 512GB SanDisk High Endurance SD card in his.
