I use an Escort M1 (front only) because it integrates with my radar detector. Uses the same mount and only had one hardwire run to the mirror.

How did you run that to mirror?

What kind of cable is it? Would really appreciate it if you can provide some insight.

The cable is an Escort straight hard wire kit. It runs to the BCM in the passenger kick panel. A local shop pinned it to a switched circuit and ran the wire up the A pillar to the mirror. They were installing a Retrax MX for me and ran the wire free of charge while they had the truck.

Installed the ford front dash came myself, got it for free using the ford pass rewards points I got with the truck. Was going to have the dealership install it for me but after reading the instructions multiple times it looked really easy so I tackled the install myself. Took me about 20 min and it was all plug and play, for it being completely free I have no complaints at all.

I have a Garmin Tandem … I can connect another rear view but haven’t … I connected with this from Amazon and works flawlessly. No splicing!

Finally ordered one. Now I just need to find a cam that can utilize the adapter. The cams I have for our other vehicles won’t work with the mirror connection as they need 12 volt power…

I got that adapter and I have a Top Dawg camera that works good. Top Dawg cams you can get front and back cams.
