You are right there with me. Ford has managed to suck the last bit of fun out of ordering the exact vehicle that I thought I wanted.
I was discussing supply chain issues with 1 of my Customers last week & mentioned waiting on my truck. The Customer said that he was waiting on a Ford truck too, & that Ford emailed him to say that it was delivered. So he reached out to his dealer, who promptly told him that they had not seen the truck. It had been a couple of weeks when we spoke about it, & he said that it still had not been delivered at that point. I can barely fathom how Ford manages to get it this wrong with this many vehicles. I guess this is what happens when Ford cannot build & ship as many vehicles as they can sell. They must not think that they need to concern themselves with any attention to Customer Service.
Looking at a map it's not far away from the Dearborn plant. Maybe they pushed some trucks over there to get shipped out. Grasping at anything now, sadly.
Can you share the numbers for both carriers?
Nothing unusual to have models dropped off at other plants for logistical reasons, to fill rail cars or trucks. This also happened at the Ford plant (STAP) i worked at for 40 years regularely, just like it still happens today
I simply googled Virginia Trucking Corporation and the phone number is on their website. I punched Jack Cooper Detroit MI into google maps and there is a location that comes up near Dearborn and has a phone number

Mine has been waiting in Kansas city for what will be 4 weeks this Thursday. Just needs to get on a semi and take a trip 3 hours North... any day now. (I wish we had the option to go pick up your vehicles right from the factory).
@RocketFistMooga Did Virginia Trucking Corporation actually give you an update? Cause I tried previously through their email (when my dealer had called me June 2nd to say that they had got notification that it was picked up and it hadn't arrive by the 8th) and got we can not give update to anyone but the dealer. Because Ford Chat had given me the Virginia Trucking Company name and the convoy number. My truck has now went back to awaiting to ship after another date of 18-24th was still saying shipped until the 22nd. I just want to know when they are going to pick the dang thing up and deliver it. Since I am also from PA I could have drive to Michigan and back 30 times by now haha. Thanks for any info.
Yes. I called the number on their website and pretended I was my dealer and asked for an update. They checked with the person that manages the yard and got back to me within a few hours with and ETA that proved to be spot on accurate now that I have taken delivery. I don't feel bad about pretending to be my dealer. I am the one paying for this vehicle so I considered it my business to find out.
