Let me know how you make out. In the spirit of full disclosure, the look of the small piece of the pen cap wedged under the trim did bug me a bit when first installed; however, it 100% eliminated the rattle/squeak/creaking, which, at least IMO, is a much bigger issue. I've had it in place now for several months with no issue, and I never even think about it at this point. I know this will sound a bit dramatic, but the noise was so irritating to my wife and me that we had discussions about trading the truck. Truthfully, the only reason we didn't was the lack of available new truck/vehicle stock, or I really feel we would have dumped this truck a long time ago. It's beyond frustrating to spend this kind of money and have to Macgyver a fix with the end of a pen cap. Overall, I give this truck, which is my 8th or 9th F150, an 8/10. I love the vehicle, and now that the noise is gone, I'm glad we persevered and solved the issue; however, I feel Ford does need to do better.okay now THATS engineering!!! May work since it’s exactly where I’m having my issue
