Same here. Can't be good for tires. Having never had that feature before I did not know why it was doing that at first but now I turned it off.
Should have zero impact on the tires. It isn’t like you get to control one and the computer controls the other. When you resist the force of the truck you are working against an electric motor that is trying to move the steering the opposite direction.

I find that I will hold pressure on it away from traffic that I am passing. I think it cheats just a little too far to the right all (most) of the time. I would like to see it biased to cheat away from the closest traffic (that I know it knows it there)

I do use it almost all of the time. It does take a little to get used to the quirks.

It seems like most folks like it. My regret not getting it is losing out on the front bumper sensors. Other than that, I am just not an adaptive cruise or lane keep guy. I think they are great safety features for people who either get very tired driving or are easily distracted while driving, both of which thankfully I am not at least to this point in my life. I do in retrospect hate that it was only $500 more to add, but as noted I probably would never use the features.
