Decision time for me...

Back in September when Ford starting building 2023's while all our 2022's sat in a lot waiting for parts I purchased a refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT. The refreshed interior is sweet and I've been really happy with the truck. My dealer just called letting me know the truck I ordered came in. The interest rate on the GMC is not good even though I've got good credit. If I qualify for 0% from Ford (ordered Feb 2022) I can take a decent hit on the GMC trade and still come out ahead.

What to do...

Yeah. I have received several messages via FP today about the Pro Power.
Hopefully someone is just working on it and there is not really an issue.

Maybe it's just letting you know the engine hasn't been installed in the truck yet?

I would at least test drive it and look at the financials and go from there.

I came right back to this post. I got my rail number this morning. Called CNR and they told me that my truck will transfer to BNSF in Chicago then head to Albuquerque, then Texas. I see exactly where from Albuquerque. Thanks for this info.

So when it gets on BNSF you can check it on this site. First box you put in train letters second box put in train numbers. It shows my railcar but old info so hopefully it works with yours. It’s their tracking site.

well. I am going to assume you are really a Ford guy like most of us on here, I have had Fords and Chevys and all were good. But I think if you dont at least go talk to them about what sort of deal you can get on the Ford you will look at the Chevy differently every time you go out in it. Not that its a bad truck, but you will always wonder if the Ford woulda been different, or nicer etc.

I have to admit, Ford is doing thier very best to piss me off and make me go look at Chevy or Ram. but I like the style. look, interior etc of the Ford. so I bend over and take another ass whooping everyday the tracker says SORRY CHUMP. STILL PARKED.

I traded in a 17 GMC Sierra SLT on my F150. It was a good truck but I never "loved" it. Other than the wheels falling off and complete loss of all power on the highway, the F150 has impressed me alot more than my Sierra

My truck was marked built on 9/28. In November, I elevated to Ford HQ to no avail. In December, I received a call from HQ agent stating that she had confirmed the truck remained on a "parts hold" but could not provide any details of what the issue was.

My truck has been "Built" and "Awaiting Shipment" since 10/15. Last week, my FordPass pending activation was cancelled and when I checked some of my modules had changed. It still had the same 1875 it has had since October but different values on some. The values that updated appear to be related to the image processing module and I'm guessing could be a new calibration for one of the cameras. I'm guessing that something failed QC checks and they had to get new parts. Unfortunately, now I can't get back to Activation Pending in FordPass and no new updates. Although Ford and Granger say it has been released to the shipping company, I'm guessing it has not. Not sure why they would be updating modules if that were the case.

I agree, its out there let the people see it. My dealer looked all shocked and hurt when I mentioned vin view and said no when I asked if they would include my email for updates on the truck I ordered. It was a very hard no so I have not even asked any more of them with regards to the location in transit of the truck I ordered.
After reading of everyone's woes regarding QC I will be going over my truck with a fine tooth comb on delivery day, better part of an afternoon will be spent driving and checking everything over. Whenever that is, I have heard nothing for a week now from the dealer.
