August 8 build week alumni beware. Picked upped my 22 5.0 Screw on 12.22, pushing 900 miles as of yesterday. Twice now when pulling left into a parking spot, steering completely locks up and get Power steering assist error. Such a low speed no harm other than scaring the sh** out of me. Things went up a notch last night, 70-75mph on a heavily congested highway, cluster lights up like a Christmas Tree, thinking I saw something about an advance trak error-paying a bit more attention to the traffic flying around me than the error message, the truck completely shuts down and I mean to absolutely nothing. How I was able to get to the shoulder I will never know until I meet the big man upstairs. Hopefully my truck is an anomaly not another gift to all of us from this build week.
Just heard back from the dealer. Shame on me for not looking but it seems my negative battery terminal is cut in half and the positive was never tightened down so its bouncing all over the place. How does something like this make it through the final QC? A fairly large defect and a completely missed package (bed utility) were overlooked. Kinda fun being back here bitching to you guys!

Just heard back from the dealer. Shame on me for not looking but it seems my negative battery terminal is cut in half and the positive was never tightened down so its bouncing all over the place. How does something like this make it through the final QC? A fairly large defect and a completely missed package (bed utility) were overlooked. Kinda fun being back here bitching to you guys!
With stuff like this I will be looking over my truck very carefully

I'm going to start by ensuring all that of the lug nuts are present and torqued correctly then I will move on to the battery... Never needed to do this much additional QC on a new vehicle before.

I guess you saw that thread about the wheel coming off in the first 300 miles as well?

NO I DID NOT - more fun things to be concerned about? I guess I wont be letting my boys drive my truck for the first few thousand miles
I would just check the torque on them to make sure nothing was missed. We shouldn't need to do this, but I don't want to end up in a spot like you were in.

I still fear that in time, 10-15 years? we may all look back and cringe at anything produced in the "early 20's".

Check this out. My truck started with Canadian national for the starting trip then it went to BNSF after blue island Illinois. So I wanted to see the route and they have a train map for car transports so I can see my exact route. Very cool, at least I think so?

I came right back to this post. I got my rail number this morning. Called CNR and they told me that my truck will transfer to BNSF in Chicago then head to Albuquerque, then Texas. I see exactly where from Albuquerque. Thanks for this info.

Yeah. I have received several messages via FP today about the Pro Power.
Hopefully someone is just working on it and there is not really an issue.

Update- The truck moved from Melvindale to Trenton.
