'Check Headlamp system' warning message

Just got this today on startup. I searched a little, but most topics were part of changes after Forscan, which I do not have.

I checked the manual, but didn't see anything. I'm sure I overlooked it.

Anyone know what this might be referring to?

Not relevant but i noticed you have that freaking spot on the steering wheel column cover too. I cannot get rid of that thing!
Anyway, Do you have forscan? you could use it to read any of the error codes.

I have that same spot. Tried everything I have in the garage and nothing works.

Lol. I just thought mine had a defect, but apparently there are more of us. Interesting that we're all from Texas too.

I do not own Forscan, but I have access to it. I'll try that route.

Unless you see that multiple times, I wouldn't worry about it.
I think that DTC, and many others with these module packed trucks, can be triggered by a momentary network interruption that's random at startup.

If it's persistent, then that would be different, of course.

I am getting those same faults on my truck and the headlights do not always level correctly after the initial dance they do when remote starting. I had the check headlight system message come on a couple days ago.

Do you use auto wipers? I wonder if it’s somehow related to the IPMA/front camera

Yes i leave them on auto or off (auto doesn’t really work that well anyway)

Let me rephrase my statement, as I can see how it was vague.

Do you, @plancjo have the proper equipment to pull DTC’s from forscan? It would be interesting to see if there’s DTC’s outside of the HCM causing the issues with the auto wipers, but manifesting as “check headlamps”
