I'm not sure that there is a connection between the headlamp issue and the wipers but I spoke to the dealership and they cannot get me in until June to work on the wipers. They do not have the part and do not know when they will be able to get it. It is on backorder because of a recall for the wiper motors.

Well that sucks.

you could certainly be correct though, it may not be tied together at all, it was just a thought that I had

Huh?
How is that going to be efficient?

I'm not saying a fella doesn't have every right to draw his line, and then just rid himself of the nuisance. But doing so efficiently isn't always possible.

I can't think of a worst time for truck bartering. (Although there are signs of things swinging maybe a little in the favor of the consumer)
And as you described your service departments best offer, it's just amazing and frustrating how difficult it currently is for getting warranty service.

Again, I can't blame you for whatever you choose to do. But I can't think of a single solution that's efficient.

Do you use auto wipers? I wonder if it’s somehow related to the IPMA/front camera

@RedTXV did you ever get any resolution to this?
No sir, I have not. It has not happened again since my original post. And I have learned my lesson about taking my truck to the dealership without the actual problem occurring in front of their eyes.

Yea, dealers don’t know how diagnostics work anymore without charging by the hour to diagnose something. It’s pretty annoying really.

I used to work at an auto shop and my boss always let people know that looking for issues requires diagnostics, and we also charged by the hour. BUT once the issue was found, any diagnostics after charged past the first hour were rolled into the repair costs. Meaning: if the repair took 10 hours of diag at $84.97/hour, and the repair was another $1000 on top of the $849.70 diag fee, you would get charged $84.97 for the first hour and basically the rest of that diag would roll into the $1000, so you only owed 1084.97. It was basically used as a way to make sure the techs weren’t losing their ass on diagnostics only to have the person not get the work performed by us and do it themselves after we spent hours figuring out the issue.

Just picked up my 22 Limited PB from other issues … I get in my truck and get the yellow message to check headlight system .. see manual . The manual doesn’t help at all . So looks like the dealership is getting it again. Bad case of buyers remorse on the $80k pos.

I think it will be more efficient to get rid of the truck...

I get this message it seems like a couple times a month. Luckily it goes away and dont come back till later. I Agree im done wasting time at the Ford dealer for small issues. Unfortunately Ford service has taken a big hit IMO .
a couple months ago a service advisor tried to convince me that the radio volume button is designed to rattle. I was dumbfounded after he double and tripled down after he said " Its a design flaw" ..... After i asked to go test a new F150 , his tune changed. SMH . And lets not even get started on their cheap rental guidelines. Bs ESP on top of warranty . I had to fight and claw for Ford to cover a rental after the 10R80 failed in my truck. BS if you ask me.

For those that receive this error, is your truck leveled/lifted? I received this error after a leveling kit. During brisk acceleration, the truck would squat and that message would appear. I had to unbolt the headlight adjustment arm, keeping the arm as close to where it would be with the factory ride height and run the forscan headlight calibration. Haven't seen it since fortunately.

Mine is totally stock, 37PP Raptor. I had this DTC on both drive and passenger side headlights. Cleared them and they didn’t come back immediately.

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your F-150 concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.
Hello Ford,

I have a 2022 F150 that I had no issues with any of my lights until just last week (5-28-25) when my dealer did the DRL recall update. Now I'm getting the "Check Headlamp System" error. My dealer has now had my vehicle for 14 days and can't fix it. They are now telling me the modules are bad and it may cost me $1400.00. I don't think I should be paying for anything as there was no issues until they did the recall update. My dealer is Blackwell Ford in Plymouth MI. VIN #1FTFW1E54NKD87361.
