Loving my new Powerboost but, . Miss the CD changer. I love Cds, they sound better than streaming and I dont have to fool around making up a playlist. Besides I like being able to support a band I like directly. Anyway all i see are these really crappy usb connected players out there. Has anyone figured out one that actually works and sounds well. I dont want to replace the whole thing Ive got the B&O upgrade and it sounds awesome. Just like to put a changer in the center console.

Sounds like you just need to download the HD versions and skip the streaming...best of luck in your search. Are you even able to plug a USB CD Player directly in and it read it?

You won't be able to plug a CD drive into a USB port on the truck as the head unit will have no way of knowing what it is or how to use it.

Lossless versions of your CDs ripped to a USB key is the equivalent to CD quality and honestly will be 10 times more convenient than carrying around a bunch of CDs. Minus the extra work upfront to populate the USB drive.

Lots of streaming services that offer great quality. Sirius sounds like shit to put it nicely.

If would be like bringing an atomic bomb to a knife fight but you could get a Naviks and connect a CD and/or Blu-ray player to it.

that's got a lot of neat features in it like blind spot blinker cam (when 360 cam equipped). That allows to program other things too, plus it allows HD input from computer / game systems. Neat product, just about 30% more than I'm willing to pay for it.

I only use it for a chromecast and my laptop. I spend about 10 hrs a week sitting in my car waiting for my kids practices to end so I have gotten more than my money’s worth out if it already.

Do you have the blinker blindspot cam thing active? How is it in reality if you do vs their vids?

I don’t. I may be wrong, but the way I understood it, I would need to add additional cameras. I don’t believe the 360 cameras are in the correct position. There are a bunch of video inputs I’m not using for adding cameras.

This is one of the lines from their description section:

Use OEM screen to add blind spot cameras (left & right) as well as a front camera.

If you have 360 cams, it will use them. Ask them about it.

I love my long-accumulated huge CD collection, like supporting artists by buying 'em, and like the sound quality they provide.

For me the SYNC solution is ripping those CD's to USB using the lossless FLAC file format. I happen to use the freeware Exact Audio Copy (EAC) running on a Windows PC but there are lots choices for doing the job.

EAC provides the album and song titles automatically (It ID's the album and pulls the track info off the web, free) and preserves the original album song-order (IOW, an album will play-back exactly as the recording artist intended, which is important to me (y) ).

No playlists, just copy albums to the USB stick using the file structure of artist>album>track.

For me the end result is literally hundreds of CD's on a USB stick that stays in my truck, provides superb sound quality, and I choose playback by song title, album title, or artist name using the one-button voice command keeping eyes on the road. My original CDs stay safe at home.

It's just like listening to my CDs at home without handling the disc's, I love it, maybe you would too.

Just for your consideration.

Better sounding tunes by choice, I don't use any streaming service.

I emailed them last night and they said no as well:

Hi, our kit does not allow you to use the factory cameras in motion only aftermarket cameras if you add them. Thank you

A couple of the earlier posts said that the Naviks would utilize the 360 cameras for the blinker view but I know that was not the case previously. I was getting my hopes up that Naviks upgraded the system to now use this.

Sadly that was not the case, and the way that it was is still the way that it is. I hope Naviks can overcome this so I could get the blinker view on the main screen with the OEM 360 cameras. If they do I will buy this in a heartbeat.

thank you. I was afraid that was the case. I still have to buy a player to rip them as none of my computers have drives on them either...wishful thinking on my part
