I got the J&L PowerBoost unit installed today on my 2024 3.5 EcoBoost. Super easy install and seems very good quality!

FWIW the only difference between the PB and EB versions is the mounting location. I liked it better on the driver's side firewall vs the battery box.

I live in California and unfortunately catch cans are banned for emissions reasons. Anyone have experience bringing their truck to dealership or smog with catch can installed in CA? Seems discrete enough for a smog tech to not see, but a bit more obvious to a dealer mechanic. Don’t want hassle or mess extended warranty. I’d liKe to add one to my ‘24 Lariat PB. Could ship to family in AZ. Not trying to start political convo.

If you rad the CA Emissions rule, a catch can is not banned so long as it does not breach the EGR boundary. The CA Emissions folks won't approve one for sales since it requires operator action periodically. You cannot sell them in CA, but you can have one on your engine.

I finally added the oil separator catch-can that I bought a few months back to my '24 Powerboost. Took 10-15 minutes. The hose I replaced didn't have much gunk in it at all, so hopefully the catch-can won't be needing to get much. Glad to have it though.

Just a hose replacement and making sure to run the new hoses correctly.

Did you just put it on the driver side? From what I understand , it's the rider side needed most !!

Mine was specific for the Powerboost so it was designed and went on the driver side

The can mounts on the driver's side where there's room for it. The hoses route behind the engine and connect on the passenger side as you would expect.

One thing I was happy about was the J&L had good connectors on it. I saw one company's picture of a catch-can that just had a hose clamp on the end. Mind push and clicked right in.
I have the J&L. It was easy to install. What was not easy was unsnapping the original hose. I couldn't see which way the snap worked and my numb fingers didn't help. When I finally got it and was able to to see it up close, now I'm an expert. I've got to add......I'm 6' 2" and reaching into the engine is a ladder job...........
