I had a 2021 2 door with the 2.3 and 7MT. It was fun and insanely capable off road but I can definitely agree that they beat you up far more especially on long highway drives. The wind noise in mine even with the hard top started to really bother me, and the 2.3 left a little to be desired especially on our mountain highways.
Also having had an F150 before, you really begin to miss the utility of a truck bed. Trying to cram all my camping gear and firewood in the back of the Bronco even for a weekend trip was a game of Tetris that involved scuffing the crap out of the interior panels.
I find the F150 to be a better all around vehicle. Still somewhat capable off road, easier to haul stuff, far more comfortable highway cruiser, and laughably the 5.0 gets about the same fuel mileage as the 2.3 did while sounding a hell of a lot better. If I could justify having 2 vehicles, or didn’t spend so much time driving long distances I probably would still have the Bronco, but as a single vehicle it just didn’t meet all my needs as well as the F150 can.

I wanted a 2 door manual trans Heritage model Bronco something horribly back in '23. Even placed an order and put a deposit down on one. But the factory stopped building that model, and gave no date for resumption. I wasn't interested in any other model Bronco, so I bailed and got my deposit back.

I've continued to follow the extremely active Bronco forum. The hardtops are noisy, they leak, and they crack. The manual trans rattles when cold. There are "cold feet" issues from inadequate lower vent flow. Poor fuel mileage too. I like the look, but I'm never going to drive off road. I'm so glad I went with my F-150 RCSB instead.

I went from 2021 Bronco Sport to '23 F150. I just got tired of all the recalls and service bulletins connected with he Bronco Sport. so far so good with the F150

I went Ranger to Bronco to F-150.

I do not miss the Bronco at all. It's cool factor very quickly wore off. Uncomfortable, loud, small gas tank, leaks, bad QC, bad windows, bad doors, bad hardtop, bad wipers, etc.

I do miss my Ranger Tremor.

I was planning on getting a Ranger Raptor instead of my '24 F-150, but figured the full size space would be nicer quality of life. I wasn't wrong. The F-150 is so damn comfortable. 36 gallon tank hitting low 20s on the highway is awesome for road trips.

Very nice, love the looks of the new STX.

Question. 2.7 or 5.0?

decent deal, I see em for about $45k to $46k?
2.7 - picked this one up for a steal as it was a “demo”. Only had 2k on the odometer Got them down to 36k before my trade in.

I do like those Ranger Raptors but I think the coolness factor will wear off in a few months when the road is flooded with them, just like the Bronco. Bigger, more comfortable and better resale value with the full-sized F-150 is definitely the right call!

Get a decent deal on it? 5.0 or 2.7?
Got a steal on the 2.7. I don’t tow hardly anything and do a lot of highway driving so the V6 suits all my needs. Also gets better gas mileage than my bronco so that was a part of why I wanted to trade it in.

Agreed. I’m on the Bronco forums too and it seems like every day something is wrong with the broncos haha. Granted, I take that with a grain of salt bc forums are hot beds for diagnosing problems, but still.

F-150 and Bronco: two entirely different purposes, two entirely different experiences. My F-150 does indeed ride like a Rolls Royce. The Bronco reminds me of the good ole days back riding around in my M151A2 (aka 1/4 Army jeep).

Bottom line, though, I LOVE them both and use them for what they're good at. After years of saving, glad we were able to get to the point where we could afford to have/keep both.

Enjoy the F-150. Great choice!

Wife drives the Bronco, and I have the truck. Best of both worlds.

Unfortunately I couldn’t convince my wife to take the bronco or I would be in the same boat as you haha. She hated driving it… hardly had any cup holders and tough to fit our two car seats in the back :)

I put the Eibach coilovers on it which made the ride great. I don't think I would want the Bronco as a daily with carseats either. Your wife was wise on that call. Luckily all three of my kids are beyond that stage of life.

Good looking truck and welcome to the family.

I feel the exact same way about my '23 xlt. I've had it for almost 2 years now and I honestly could not imagine a better truck. It's perfect. Still zero issues at almost 2 years in. I made a similar post to yours talking about everything I loved about it when I picked it up in 2023.

I picked up an extended warranty from Granger and plan to keep my '23 forever. I might buy a new one at some point, but I'm never getting rid of this one.

Owning an F-150 is what winning looks like. Congrats on the new truck.
