Starting yesterday, I can no longer turn my speaker volume above ‘0’ and can no longer change the audio source. No radio, nothing. Just silence. I’ve tried rebooting the infotainment system several times and hoped it would sort itself overnight. Nothing.

Another ideas to try? Of course I have a 1800 mile road trip coming up next week.

Looks like last truck update was for the radio unit ☹

Did this start immediately after the OTA? Message me the VIN.

Got your message but responding here so the info is out there. This does not seem to be related to the OTA. The OTA was on 11/1 and your truck started reporting this code in the APIM yesterday:

Ford F-150 Broken: Volume and audio sources selector 1762991335731-bs

That fault type of 87 cites a "missing message". Not sure what is triggering that, but that seems to be what is causing the issue.

I know your truck isn‘t an Escape obviously and you just got an OTA for the ACM, but this is your same error code in this Escape TSB error and what an Escape needs to do with it, which is update the ACM:

(I own two newer Escapes so I’m on that forum a lot too)

Well, that would suck in his case. If his ACM was just updated, the chances of another ACM update being there are slim.

This happened on my 22 and I needed to pull the fuse for the DSP/Amp to reset it. Try that or yanking the battery cable.

Thank you all for the replies and info!!

Does disconnecting the battery for a few minutes accomplish the same as pulling and putting back fuses?? Interior fuse box is kinda a pain to access vs loosening a terminal bolt.

also going to call dealer tomorrow to get in the queue in case this turns into a thing. ☹

Yea, but leave the battery disconnected for 20 minutes to ensure to full effect. Disconnect the negative cable.

Question, does disconnect cause the truck having to relearn the throttle, shifting etc.?

Javier, I’ve just disconnected the 14v battery in the engine bay. When I open the truck door, the dash and infotainment units still light up. Do I also need to unhook the Aux battery? For context, I already upgraded the OEM 14v, still have OEM aux battery.

Yes, on the powerboost, you need to also disconnect the auxilary battery under the rear seat.

Thank you Javier!!

Update: the stereo works again! I unplugged both batteries for about an hour. Cancelling my appt with dealership tomorrow. Hopefully this is a long term fix and this thread can be used by others in the same boat.

Thanks all for the information, my ’25 King Ranch did the same thing last night drove to dinner, radio was fine, came out and the radio volume was stuck on “0“ just like to OP in this thread. I had the OTA update showing on the screen as being successfully completed… cleared that screen and then the radio would no work, Apple AirPlay was also affected. Will try the battery reset method And report back.
