Are you sure that Ford isn't offering you a free year on your 2021?

I was looking at my connected services tab and saw a BlueCruise option for $0.00/one year to be billed 11/21/25. I went ahead and clicked all the buttons. I didn't like that I had to click to save the credit card info. Still waiting on the confirmation email.

I also checked under connected navigation and there was no such option. Ford is wanting $80/year. Not for me.

Everybody's case study is different. I drive very little on BlueCruise HANDSFREE mapped roads. It's value to me is $0.00.

If you don't have lane change assist, you have 1.0. It is possible you have the newer IPMA software but not the new features. You can check with FORScan. If you go into the module details for the IPMA and the strategy is ACJ or BBC, then you have the 1.4 software.

Same here, even spent the time to manually update everything via FDRS, still on the old IPMA ABJ. Thanks for the assist earlier rugedraw.

Edit: Again thanks to rugedraw for the assistance the update actually was successful and now I have 1.4. When I opened forscan to do the adjustments I selected the previous profile which didn't update the strategy's listed in forscan. Did it as a new vehicle and everything was there.

there was a way around that. i ended up using reward points (it comes out to 0 points b/c it was free) so i didnt need to use the ol credit card.

Ford has not released the newer IPMA software for Tremors of any year. The dealer can't help you. There is a way to do it using unconventional methods, but not everyone is comfortable doing it.

Still no email confirmation, but the BlueCruise expiration date has been updated in the FordPass app. So I'm assuming everything is copacetic.

I've noticed that mine doesn't seem to move over within it's lane to avoid cars in adjacent lanes that are too close to the line. Is there a way to enable this that I may have missed? It gets uncomfortably close to cars in the lane over, especially going around curves. I find myself having to grab the wheel and move it over myself.

The "tolerance" of the predictive speed feature also doesn't work - so it seems the only way to disable slowing down around curves is to code it out completely, which is unfortunate. The tolerance thing is actually completely broken from what I can tell. If you set it to 20mph over, then for some reason, after the curve it'll adjust your cruise control speed to 20 over the speed limit. So in a 65 zone it sets it to 85 and then itll disable bluecruise since you are going over 80...

Same here. It's getting to be a bit annoying at how difficult it is to get this update.

I have a 2024 and don’t remember seeing this update yet. Nice to know I should get it eventually with the 2023s in this thread saying they’ve got it. I had some Forscan work planned this holiday weekend, so I’ll check and see if I got it and just missed it.

In the case of the 2024+ trucks, Ford has not released the BC 1.4 IPMA software yet, so no need to bother checking.

I think the OTA is going out to 21-23 trucks.
