Blue cruise 1.4 issues?

I’ve had BC 1.4 for months now on my 2023 platinum with the assistance of @rugedraw. I updated my available modules about a week ago to get everything back up to date. Nothing else has changed hardware or software wise.

Even before this most recent update the BC seems to have a kind of its own almost like it reverted back to 1.0 with swaying all over. It feels like it will make a hard turn off the road sometimes. It gets worse until it tells me to grab the wheel. Weird thing is the auto lane change is still working but not 100% either. Left to right lane is fine but right to left will sometimes keep going off the road if I don’t stop it.

Anyone else noticed this???

Which one do you have, ACJ or the BBC.

ACJ was pretty good, not happy with BAE in another vehicle. Haven't played with BBC in the truck yet.

I had AJC and it was working well without the lane change. When my truck updated to BBC it seemed to revert back to 1.0, but after making the forscan changes @rugedraw sent it was fixed and it was full 1.4 with the lane change. Works flawlessly. Even through turns where 1.0 would temporarily disable 1.4 stays on. Maybe double check and update to BBC

ACJ was pretty good, not happy with BAE in another vehicle. Haven't played with BBC in the truck yet.

BAE is not available for the trucks. It went from ACJ straight to BBC. I saw many comments on the Mach E forum where people felt BAE was a downgrade from ACJ, but that would not be the case with the OP. Not sure what is going on here, but I did not notice and drop in performance going from ACJ to BBC.

Those acronyms just refer to the version of the IPMA software your truck gad/has. I see no reason why it would perform worse after the updates. Sometimes after an IPMA update, is it a good idea to recalibrate it if things seem off. You can do this with FORScan if your FDRS license is expired.

Ha. After I updated my CMR got bricked and I lost all my ipma calibrations. Time before that my parking break wouldn't release and I couldn't shift out of park. Both times Jesse helped me out.
If I ever get this working again I don't think I'm ever going to update it again.

Check the revision of the PSCM rather than the IPMA. One of the PSCM versions looked to have had some de-bounce logic in it, that Ford seems to have removed because they feel the model in the IPMA got better.

My question is why isn’t the 1.4 update happening over the air from Ford? I’ve got a 23 Platinum PB and about another year left on my BC. The app is already trying to sell me on the BC plan, but 1.0 absolutely sucks and is a party trick that works sometimes. Why would anyone pay for that? If there’s a big difference, send us the updates so you can actually sell some of the subscriptions, because 1.0 ain’t getting it done. Feels like your alignment is off and you can barely stay in a lane for the 2-3min it actually stays hands free. Bah.

I keep wanting to give BlueCruise a chance. I am about to be done with my 2 months paid that I figured would maybe span a 1.4 update but it has not.

I think I should just give up on it until everything is updated to 1.4 and stabilized. The hard braking the second it sees brake lights and the veering off the road for off ramps is maddening, mostly because it's so abrupt.
