I took my F150 Limited out on the interstate yesterday for the first time and blue cruise worked like a charm. It was a long time waiting and understanding that Ford will probably never have large data transfers over the air working correctly. I was very disappointed that I had to wait a year and have a dealership keep my truck for a week and in the future I will never believe Ford on promises of future technology. I think the biggest disappointment was that Ford never bothered to talk to me ever about anything related to bluecruise and the issues they were having. I can’t believe I spent $78,550 to have a company not stand up to their product or even care to let me know what they were doing. I think in the long run Ford will suffer for policies like this. On the subject of bluecruise I do think the technology is worth having and I am happy to finally have it.

Screws fall out. The world is an imperfect place.

and have a dealership keep my truck for a week
A WHOLE week? Wow, how unfortunate. They only had mine for TWO MONTHS AND FOUR DAYS.

and in the future I will never believe Ford on promises of future technology.
I'm sure there is a Chevrolet dealership right down the road.

I think the biggest disappointment was that Ford never bothered to talk to me ever about anything related to bluecruise and the issues they were having.
Did you expect a personal phone call from Jim Farley? I hate to break it to you, but the MANUFACTURER doesn't call anybody about anything. Prior to COVID, Ford was selling, what, 17 million vehicles a year? Should EVERYBODY expect to "talk" to Ford about things that might get delayed?

I think your beef would be better directed at the DEALERSHIP, as they would and should be more prepared to share information like this with their customers.

I can’t believe I spent $78,550 to have a company not stand up to their product or even care to let me know what they were doing.
Not sure what "not stand up to their product" means. But you have an awesome truck that took a little longer than expected to receive some mostly trivial updates. And, again, they "don't care to let you know what they were doing" is a ridiculous claim. Ford publishes all kinds of information and you have to contact your dealer or find it. Some gets mailed out (i.e., recalls). Still other information comes to you right in the FordPass app. The manufacturer isn't going to CALL every one of their millions of customers every times someone gets offended about a feature delay.

I think in the long run Ford will suffer for policies like this.
You would be wrong, too.

I enjoy it as well, but we were all perfectly fine for more than a hundred years of driving before it came to be.

Relax, man. Switch to decaf. Have a cocktail. Life is too short to get all worked up over a cool feature that took a little longer to roll out.

You Spent a whole lot of energy apologizing for Ford. Maybe the decaf would be good for you. Got a love a guy who spends all of his time dissecting somebody else’s complaint.

I wasn't defending anyone. I was suggesting that you quit the whining and concentrate on life's far more important things.

Have no fear ... I'm sure Jim will be ringing your phone soon ... :ROFLMAO:

Ford apologist in denial. Rule number 1 in blogging when you attack someone personally instead of responding to a concern you are the problem. My post is valid. Idiot comments about me waiting for a CEO call Are stupid. There are levels of customer care appropriate for my concern. But sure I’ll wait for a CEO call if that’s what you think is a customer care solution.

Where did I attack you personally? Be specific.

I don't attack people. I attack comments and statements. There is a marked difference. Your comments are a bunch of whining.

FYI: This isn't "blogging". This is a discussion forum. How long have you been using this here fancy interwebz, son?

Well, I can't say that's a negative thing. I wouldn't want to go past that limit anyhow. Guess they are trying to enforce speeding limits.
So, here we have speed limits of 85mph.... how is that going to work?

The idea of using an ankle weight or a jammed bottle of water on the steering wheel of a $75K+ truck for it to work correctly is just so ghetto and cringeworthy.
