Black Sync Screen

Recently the Main Sync Screen in my 2022 displays the Ford logo on startup and then goes totally black. My phone still pairs via Android Auto, but I cant control anything else via the screen.

I have tried the dimming settings to see if that was the issue and have not had any luck.

I have a feeling its an issue w/ the battery as my truck was one of the 2022 builds that sat in a parking lot at Dearborn for months. I am also getting messages in the Ford app about features being disabled quite frequently. Also wondering if its a bad AIPM.

The truck goes in tomorrow, just curious if others had seen this and what it turned out to be?

I had this happen once. I his the button for the back up camera and it showed that view and ai hit the button again and the regular screen was back

Mine went out and they had to replace the APIM, although my APIM was schedule for replacement due to not working properly before the screen went black but the dealer said it was all due to the APIM.

Bumping this to the top in case it helps someone else. - They tested the APIM it tested fine. Ended up doing updates as my truck was behind and replacing the battery. So far this has resolved the issue.

I imagine the truck was behind on updates due to the battery not holding charge.

They replaced the battery /w an AGM H6.

We will see if it helps, I as super happy they went with an AGM upgrade for free. The truck should have shipped /w an AGM to begin w/ imho. My 2015 did, not sure why the 2022 which has a ton more electrical components didnt.
