Ok... authorisa calls for either a Master Reset or a FordPass Connect Reset. Neither of these, when executed, result in an authorisation message on the infotainment screen. As the photo shows, the modem is active, but as previously known, there is no connection to the cell network (it needs an AT&T cell and we don't have that provider here). Also, after a reset, there is no more wi-fi network configured; it definitely requires TCU cell connectivity for FordPass activation and (almost certainly) OTA triggers.
If anyone can show the wi-fi settings that the FordPass message alludes to (shown above in post #11), I'd be grateful ?
