U just used plastidip - no primer? Most talk about high temp engine paint. I have plastidip from doing my fender badges. May give that a try based on your experience.I just plastidipped my oem and it’s holding up extremely well
No sir, no primer needed, clean it with dish soap and spray it, no need for high temp paint. It doesn’t get hot enough to damage the dip, mine has been like that for months now and good as the first day. Try it and please report backU just used plastidip - no primer? I gave it a shot with plastidip. Used glossifier as well. Pretty happy with how it turned out and it looks good on the truck. Will be interesting to see the durability but sounds like you have had good luck so far. Easy to remove the plastidip if it doesn't last.No sir, no primer needed, clean it with dish soap and spray it, no need for high temp paint. With the exhaust tip done along with previously completed fender badges plastidipoed, ford emblems front and back vinyl wrapped, black lug nut covers and the sport decal removed the truck is done (even got vinyl wraps from Etsy to cover the airbag warnings inside on the visors!)!
Tks again.

Could you elaborate on vinyl wraps for airbag warnings. Pics if possible.I gave it a shot with plastidip. Used glossifier as well. Pretty happy with how it turned out and it looks good on the truck. Just looking at Etsy I'm guessing something like these. I removed the warnings from my old truck which probably isn't legal somehow but it didn't bother me.Could you elaborate on vinyl wraps for airbag warnings. Pics if possible.
The tip looks good. Might have to try that myself
Link of one below. Lots on Etsy. They do look pretty good and match the colour well. I did consider removing the stickers but based on the amount of work to get the glue off from forum members' experience decided to try the vinyl wraps given how cheap they were. Literally 5 min of work vs over a hr estimated to get the glue off (there maybe better techniques but that is what I read on here using googone). I am pretty happy overall - would rather have been able to remove them easily but this is a good compromise. The first one I put in wasn't perfect as I learned the technique but was really happy with the other 2. I should have started with the small one first.Could you elaborate on vinyl wraps for airbag warnings. Pics if possible.

I can take a picture of mine if it would help. Love this forum for pass it forward approach members take.

Do you have more pics of this? I'm looking to go this route and curious what it looks like from behind etc.I installed ford mud flaps for thst reason. Brand new black corsa exhaust tip and didn't want Knicks and scratches.![]()
Sand it a little and spray with high temp grill paint. Should hold up fine. I've thought of doing that but not got round to it.I have the Ford Perf Tip and its great. Only issue is the rest of the visible exhaust is still the raw silver obviously and it bugs me when I look at it from the back. Not sure of good options to fix this. Obviously could be painted but I worry that wont hold up well.
