Black Exhaust Tip

Anyone install the Ford Performance Black Chrome Exhaust Tip? Curious on thoughts? How has the finish and fixation held up? Was it difficult to remove the existing chrome tip, cut the exhaust pipe back, and install the new tip? Does it look good with the sport package?

My chrome exhaust tip is the only chrome part on my truck, so thinking of replacing it. It's also always dirty and scratched from the rear tire kicking up stuff.

There are some old posts on it.
I removed the chrome tip cover on my old 2011 and just lived without it 12 years. I put it back on when I got rid of truck. All the Ecoboost black stuff coming out of exhaust makes a chrome tip annoying. I'm seeing same thing on the 2021.

I have a 5.0; is there a difference in soot emitted?

I don't know, I think if you have some soot now you'll still have it. I expected that to go away when I changed motors 12 years later but apparently not.

The tip looks good for where it was posted. Might have been on the f150forum. I know they said they cut exhaust pipe back to have tip flush with fender.

They were on sale recently online but I'm looking at pulling off the chrome and painting it first. Rattle can of high temp paint is cheap.

I installed ford mud flaps for thst reason. Brand new black corsa exhaust tip and didn't want Knicks and scratches.

The exhaust tip. I'm assuming it's 3" inlet/4" dual out? I've already got the flaps. Sorry, I should've been more specific lol.
