Fox 2.0’s. May upgrade to the 2.5’s soon but these have treated me well after hundreds of miles off road. That’s beautiful!
What shocks are you running?
I ran the 2.0s on my last half ton (2018 Sierra) for a long while when I first got it and they ran like a champ.Fox 2.0’s. May upgrade to the 2.5’s soon but these have treated me well after hundreds of miles off road.
Exactly my experience. I just got back from a multi leg trip to Wyoming and Elk hunting in Colorado. Played with the settings on hundreds of off road miles. Soft setting off road is actually a worse ride. I cranked them up to 5/6 all four corners and was able to literally Baja fly over stuff other trucks including my old suspension would require half the speed. I was amazed.I did some good runs last weekend on fire roads and some high articulation trails. I found that having high speed setting at around 5 clicks in for fire roads was good. The faster you drive on them the more the shocks absorbed. I was doing about 50mph on them on the way back and the truck felt amazing. My low speed setting was wide open.
On the way in, i had the high speed setting adjusted all the way open and the fire roads felt super bumpy and rough, so tightening that up made a huge difference.
I believe many off road shops service theseI’m really considering these 2.5 elites as well. I don’t see anyone talk about the servicing of them though. Fox recommends 50k service for on road use. I’m sure you could get more out of them, but the front end will have to come apart again and wait for the shocks to come back from service
yup no joke. I'm going to crank them up to maybe 9 or 10 and see how that compares. and maybe have tighter settings on the back than on the front since the back is lighter.Exactly my experience.
