2023 K.R. 3.5 EB
We often go over to Europe during the summer for six months and leave the truck in storage.
With my 2014 I used to hang a solar trickle charger (battery tender 10 W) on the front grill, disconnect the positive battery lead, and then attach the solar trickle charger to the battery.
When we return and I reconnect the battery, the truck would start up as if it was run five minutes ago.
With this new truck and all the complicated BMS stuff I don’t know if that’s the way to do it or should I do something else.
Can I simply disconnect the positive lead, hook up the solar panel to the battery terminals (negative in the proper position on the BMS) and walk away?
When I return can I simply reconnect the positive and drive away or do I have to start fiddling with BMS resets, etc.?
Thanks in advance.
