The AgriCover reviews mentioned a few times about the powdercoat/coating chipping around the edges
I read that as well and was surprised to see raw edges right on the photos on their website. I called and asked them specifically about the edges and they said all aluminum panels with the urethane (bed-liner based) finish are shot on the tops only, leaving the edges exposed. Carbon fiber is full carbon where-as the matte is a full powder. I didn't want a glossy finish so opted for the matte anyhow. I've sprayed liner and I get why they didn't try to cover the edges but it would drive me crazy to have the edges exposed like that. One nice thing is the panels can be separated and sent off for a wrap/powder/etc. down the road.

Matte:

Urethane (same for their "diamond mist" finish):

I have a Bakflip MX4 and I feel that the finish looks way more worn after two years than my last one did after 4. I think these tonneaus are being made cheaper and cheaper.

I think my next one will be a Diamondback.

Seems like ever since Realtruck bought 95% of the tonneau cover companies, they are steadily headed down hill in quality, but the prices are slowly creeping up. So sad to see mom and pop type companies getting gobbled up by big monopoly type investors and the product turns to shit.

@Realtruck and many other companies only use forums to advertise and nothing else. If you want service, you have to call them directly. From what I have experienced with them is that they know their product but you have to call them. They will not respond on any forum. I wish they did at least a little bit but you're right, after gobbling up all of the smaller, mom and pop companies, they've gotten too big. Now it appears that they would rather replace a $1000 cover for free than implement small changes that could increase quality exponentially.

New one received today.

It's a full kit, side rails and all. I just expected a new cover only.

No ask or instructions to destroy the old one, so I'm going to give it to a friend, instead of adding more shit to the landfill. It's fixable, I'm sure.
