AZXD Plan Question

Hi all,
I know someone who recently received an A plan PIN from her family member. Unfortunately they won't need a car until next April (around the time the PIN expires).

My question is - Can the still valid PIN be locked in at the time of order or does physical delivery need to take place before the PIN expires?

This will help them bigtime with timeframe on ordering given the current wait times we've been seeing during covid.

Not sure about the A Plan but X Plan PINS are valid for 12 months and you can have up to 2 per year I believe. As far as I know the only difference in A & X is the A Plan is for Ford Employees and family members. X Plan for Partner company employees and family members Z Plan is for Ford Retirees and family members.

From the X Plan site:

What if I don't use the PIN that I generate?

Your PIN is valid for 12 months from the date it is issued. After the 12 months, your PIN will automatically expire and no longer count against your 2 PINs/year allotment.

According to my dealer when I purchased my f-150 using the A plan, the pin was good for 12 months. Check the web site for more info or just confirm with their dealer.

Your PIN needs to be valid at time of delivery, basically the day you pay for the truck is when they run the PIN.

Does A/Z Plan also discount extended warranty? Seems like I got it for my daughter's car 6 years ago but cant find info on it now.
