Is it normal that no heat or air blows out of the upper dash vents when using auto climate control and the truck is heating the cabin? When I'm cooling the cabin with A/C on they work as they should. If I take it off of auto and manually set the fan speed and select the dash vents, then air comes out. With auto on, air is only coming out of the area around my feet. It does this even when the truck is warmed up and it wouldn't blow cold air at my face. I thought maybe it delays air to the upper vents until the air is warm, but that's not the case.

In Auto, warm air also comes through the side vents which are partially hidden near the A pillar. They aid in defrosting windows but also provide heat to the cabin.

You are right, but is it normal that warm air doesn't come through upper dash vents?

It has been for me. I love AUTO mode with AC use. Works great. In the winter with heat use? It blows. I always have to use manual mode in the winter. Even then, Sometimes the vents and the recirc will kick on and off. Frustrating that it works so so good in the summer and then can be so so bad come winter time.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

That's normal operation. Heat rises, so they blow hot air at the floor to avoid cold spots.
