I'd say if u live in a area where theres a bunch of hills and moutains/elevation changes the electric will kick in even at 80mph. Out here in the rio grand valley even on the small descent from above sea level to the river valley area on the hwy i can get the electric to take over for a good bit of driving until i hit the load point on the engine. Mpgs always stay around 23 to 24 even in 100 degree weather. So glad I went with the PB

I just took delivery of a 2021 hybrid and i would like to know at what speeds the hybrid works. I was expecting long range improvement in gas mileage and after 700 miles it only seems to be kicking in around town. Example: i drove 260 miles to Houston and only 3.2 miles were "electric"? any insight would be appreciated.

any speed downhill where you are not applying gas

I've had mine shift to hybrid at 80 mph on some Wyoming downhills.
