Are there software bugs?

New F150 owner here. My pre-collision sensors and lane assist sensors are on. However when I enter my driveway there is a tarp near the fence and the vehicle used to beep before but does not now. I have checked the sensors are on. How do I check if they are working? Also on Lane assist it comes sporadically on and off. Like local roads for instance. Yesterday it showed up but today it doesn't.

You should be able to test your collision sensors with large cardboard boxes.

My lane keeping/assist is also a bit finicky at times - especially if the road is wet, or the road markings are not clear and crisp.

You may need some software updates that address the issue. Send me your VIN and I can check to see if there is anything useful your truck is reporting to Ford in terms of codes.

These are the codes your truck has reported. There are not TSB's or SSM's reference that give a clue as to what is causing the problem. The dealer would have to run pin-point test to figure it out. Ethernet failure codes are always a red flag to me as these are usually related to hardware issues and not software.

Make sure the POS terminals on all low voltage batteries are tight, both under the hood and under the back seat. Also make sure all fuses are pushed in tight, both under the hood and behind the passenger footwell. I recently had some Ethernet failures (different module) and the tech was able to add a few turns to both battery POS terminals.

I just bought the truck from a dealer at PA. I can't drive back all the way. What do I have to do? What is tsb or SSm and should I share the screenshot with dealer?

The only thing I can think of is getting FORScan to try to clear the codes or reset certain modules to see if it fixes anything. There is not much really you can do as far as I know.

I am sorry these are all new terminologies to me. What exactly should I do? Is this a manufacturing defect?

The issue that you are describing is impossible to diagnose remotely. A pin-point test is something dealers can do with FDRS which is Ford's dealer software to troubleshoot problems. Is the truck still under warranty?

Oh that's right.....yours is a 2024. I would have them take a look at it.

Adding my $0.02. Just to clarify you can take the truck to any Ford dealer, you don't have to take it back to the dealer in PA.
