Looks great! How would you say the noise of the Nittos compares to the Toyos you had?
At 75K the Toyo's had gotten loud. But from what I recall about the Toyo's being new, these Nitto's are as quiet as the Toyo if not a hair quieter. Doesn't matter the speed or road conditions, these G3's are quiet as a mouse.

Thanks to everyone on this thread. Just got my Nitto G3’s put on and love it so far. I made a wheel change when I found some 25 BAP take offs cheap. Before and after.

What big difference; looks great! What size and load rating are those?

I tried 38 which is what I ran my Toyo AT3's at since they were a C load and it felt too soft.

I then tried around 50 and it felt a little harsh.

I have settled on 42. They seem to ride the best and mpg is good. Once they get heated up the tend to be just above 45 and are golden for my truck.

Thank you.

I followed some advice on here and purchased P rated tires 275/65/20. Measure out at 34” 4 ply. Trying to stay light for my Powerboost and I only get off pavement for short term on grass. Unlike some others that state no rub on stick ride I do have a slight rub on sharp full right and left turn.

I ran mine at 39 hot. They would get up to 41 after extended interstate driving. Took trial and error to find the right psi.

I have the E rated version and I run them at 40F 38R cold.

Dropping them to 25/23 for gravel and forest service roads still leaves enough air pressure to make them not feel like the sidewalls are going to fold over and they also float over the small imperfections.

You can probably take care of that with some hammering on your front crash bar and you might need to add some caster if your rear crash bar is tight too.

Still liking these tires, but rocks are their nemesis. They're not getting ejected at highway speeds and instead are damaging small portions of tread as well as the siping. I'm starting to notice a loud noise when cornering at medium speeds (40-55mph) too.

That’s a tough question to answer. I’m going to go with somewhere around 2 to 4 MPG hit for my conditions and driving habits. See a post from some time ago where it was 25 and change but also 27 degrees cooler!

https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/thr...getting-with-your-powerboost.1373/post-465305

Here is an example of today. Obvious quite a bit of difference in total travel with idle time as well. But I’ve yet to get a solid run at 22mpg or better. But it’s also been HOT since I’ve put the tires on. Notice the electric miles

You will find forum members claiming great MPG with lifted trucks etc…in comparison to the PB. I state BS. Get the pen and paper and do the math. Do not rely on the mpg lie-o-meter. Without some other engineering to conserve fuel those trucks with poorer aerodynamics, lifted 6” and running 35-37 AT tires weighing 65 and more (often MORE) lbs each are getting high MPG. NOPE!

Ford F-150 Anyone using Nitto Terra Grappler G3 tires? IMG_3139

See pic of the two tires in the size I wanted. I went with the P-rated tire stock number 224160. 47 lbs each is just under 10 more lbs of tire on each corner. (From memory the stock scorpions I had were 39 lbs.) For what I tow and the off road to the fishing hole these work just fine for me. That tire weight is going to affect MPG. Changing the aerodynamics and losing the air dam height (it’s still working but still not able to clean up as much air under the truck) is going to change the MPG. I may decide to just take the air dam off. Many PB owners on here have done so.

Now there is more data to consider such as changing the tire diameter in forscan that could change the mpg readings speedometer and possible transmission shifts etc and so on that a bunch of guys on here much smarter than I could speak to…However I will let you all have fun with the debates.

I just liked the tires and wanted the look and I just drive the damn truck the way I want to and I know I am taking a MPG hit. I don’t care and I have not done the math…so I estimate at least a 2-4 mpg hit on the daily.

Do NOT expect the tire to be as quiet as your stock tire unless you already have an AT. What I can speak to is that the G3 is louder than the stock Scorpions I had. Louder than the Michelin Defenders I have run in the past. But not even close to as loud as the Toyo AT3’s I ran on a 2019 EB.

I hope this helps!
