Bumping this. Anyone install one of the 3” blocks from stage 3? I’ve got the bilstein 6112 up front and 5160 in the rear and want some of my rake back for towing
I installed MaxTrac 1" lift shackles in the rear instead of a bigger block. Not sure if it's true or not but I heard that taller blocks increase the likelihood of axle wrap. I was only looking for another inch or so of lift in the rear to get some rake back for hauling and the lift shackles accomplished that perfectly while retaining the stock blocks. Just some food for thought.
hmm haven’t looked into that. I’ll check it out.
If you are towing, I wouldn't do a taller block.

Shackles, or https://activesuspension.com/products/ford-f-150-pickup-4wd-2021-sd

Or Add a leaf.

Or swap to the Max Tow leafs and then see what size of block you still need with a load.

I have the max tow, and my current block is only about 1.25- 1.5. Why are you opposed to me adding a block vs the shackles. I looked at one set of shackles and was honestly a little afraid of how fragile they looked.

Specifically for towing, a taller block isn't going to change the carrying capacity of the leafs, and could lead to worse axle wrap.

Axle blocks themselves are fine, I'm running a 2.5" block, but I don't tow heavy regularly.
