Anti-Theft Kill Switch

i have no experience with these, but I think they‘re doing canbus injection. If you try to start the vehicle without authenticating to their module, it‘ll send a kill command.

I kinda wonder what kind of havoc could be caused with something like this.

A buddy used a pressure switch under carpet near the rocker,beside drivers seat. It interrupted the starter.

My cutlass I just have a simple rocker switch to the ignition coil. Works like a charm.

I wouldn’t know where to start with the 2021 rats nest of wires lol

I had a Z/28 that I did the same to. Simple easy theft protection.

2 more thoughts:

1) I have the center console gearshifter that folds down. Maybe another solution is a toggle switch on the gearshifter fold down button, to keep it from coming back up.

2) Toggle switch on the gearshifter lock solenoid, the one released by the button you have to grab and grip to shift out of Park.

This is a great idea too!

Havent done it yet, But im adding a switch to the unlock switch on this same shifter. Solenoid wont unlock the shifter if your not pressing the button.

The key thing on these new trucks is to disable something that isn't a computer.

Do you happen to recall starter button wire color you interrupted on your ‘21 Super Duty. I would like to do this. My ‘22.

but its the ground wire that ran directly off the push to start button, its attached to the frame near the switch, just interrupt that ground

Another idea... remotely locate the gearshifter fold-down button. That way the thief can't raise it to change out of park.

That could be helpful periodically - but not practical for daily driving. Also, the Security Package is only available on particular trucks. The original post is regarding a '22 Powerboost.
