Why would it be any less appealing at 80,000 miles than an Ecoboost at 80,000 miles?

The differences between the 2 trucks at 0 miles are the same difference in the trucks at 80,000 miles.
Not sure I agree. The battery has an anticpated life-cycle
How can I mention a Powerboost with 200k miles and 10 years of ownership?

While I admit to being a huge Powerboost ambassador, I can't travel into the future and see if I'm eating crow or not.

Still, I haven't seen any evidence that the truck is fragile. I tow and I camp and I tow and I camp.... and it just keeps on doing its thing. Wickedly good at the role I am using it.
So now you've gotten my point: no data. Didn't ask that you see the future, only that you acknowledge there is limited past. And, repsectufully, yours seems an easy past. But I know nothing about towing a trailer in Texas.

And once again, having a flawless 3.5 years is exactly what should be expected from a $75K vehicle. That it seems exceptional is what makes me scratch my head. I guess we have different expectations. If your current truck is so exceptional, what is your motivation to get rid of it?

If the gentleman lived in Texas, I could blame it on August Heat.

It's about this time of year when it's obvious (to me) that most folks down here have been held hostage in indoor HVAC prison for 3 months. Their fuses have been widdled down to a nub and their cup of joy is empty.

Alas, we are just DAYS from such hell breaking, and we'll be having our morning coffee ON THE PORCH!!!

Our whole world outlook will change and our fuses will lengthen and doing a little troubleshooting on our truck will be an excuse to be outside. 😁

(We DO get rewarded for surviving Texas Coastal Summers with 9 continuous months of outdoor (camping 😉) weather)
Head a little farther north and you won’t be wanting your morning coffee on the porch right now 😂😂 it was 44 this morning

44 is a nice crispy hoodie-needed cup of coffee. But you do have to drink it a bit faster I bet? :)

Get rid of it?
I certainly didn't intend to leave that impression.

As for my opinion of it being exceptional, I mean it's the nicest overall truck I've ever owned in my near 70 years. Exceptionally comfortable. Exceptionally equipped with technology. Exceptional performance. Exceptional utility.

My previous truck was a Gen13 fully loaded KingRanch as well, and it's really quite the leap this Gen14 truck made in multiple aspects. There's almost nothing that wasn't noticeably improved. The only thing that went backwards is the customer service level Post Covid. Man did that bar drop.

Not sure what the dealer in the original post was on about, but my 3.5EB that was ordered in July just got scheduled for production. It's a loaded 502a Lariat

Nothing against folks that want electric or hybrid but this is why I did a factory order for a 5.0 coyote.
