It's the most impressive truck I've ever owned for the first 3.5 years.
Having followed your PB experience on this forum I must admit that despite some initial trepidation I've become convinced it's a great powertrain.

Alas, Ford didn't elect to develop a design that would work for both the 145" WB SuperCrew and 145" WB SuperCab (though I do think that could have been done with some different component tweaking / arrangement).

So it goes, the decision was made, no PB SuperCab, that's the only reason I'm not fraught with envy and considering a new truck.

I can't think of anyone I would rather have a Powerboost than you.

I wish Ford had made that possible. You have the PERFECT rig for one. But that sweet 5th you have would hardly even tax that ProPower generator. :)

More proof that the PB hasn't met sales expectations.

Bet dealer flips it to the PB and your almost truck gets built.....and delivered to someone else.

Continues to fluctuate between 20-25% of F150 sales. I doubt Ford is unhappy about that.

I might have contributed to those stats myself?

We've taken delivery of the long awaited 2025 AWD Hybrid Maverick with the 4K tow package. My daughter has never shown much evidence that she cares about cars at all. They are just transportation devices. But she is behaving completely smitten by the Maverick I walked her through the special order process. It's fun for me to watch her experience good Ole American new car romance. 🤣🤣

I also grabbed me one of those F350 heavy tow mules. (5000lbs Payload) So doing my share of padding Ford's stats. 😁

Ya'll need to quit talking about these damn powerboosts. I have a perfectly good '24 rcsb that I'm happy with, and all this talk is making me think stuff like "but a powerboost could power the house!"

Naw.....

The RCSB Coyote is a very special beast of its own. I've been tempted a number of times. The Mach-E GTPE is what saves me from grabbing one just to scratch that itch.

Yes, it's a great truck. I originally bought it to put a whipple on it and ended up not doing that. But, I don't ride around wishing it had a whipple all the time-it's a really good daily driver for me, small enough to park easily, gets pretty decent mileage, and will scoot when I poke it.

I don't think I'd Whipple one either. Rather I would tediously go about upgrading the trim level to whatever level I would have purchased if Ford had only allowed.

For sure I'd want the seats, instrument panel, Sync4 screen, and console that the luxury yacht F150 can be built with. In other words, doll it up a bit and be just as pampered in the cockpit as I am in the KingRanch.

Nah, it's fine for me. It already has a 12" screen, what would I improve about that?

I wasn't sure Ford let the XLT RCSB get the 12". Well that would save me a couple of grand. :)

So can you get the full digital cluster too? Copilot 360 Assist? If so, I might just be Katzkins away from nirvana.

Yes, the cluster is digital. There are no physical gauges. I have drive modes, NAVIGATION (!), regular cruise control, power windows/locks, and rubber floormat! I love rubber floormat, that's a big reason why I insisted on a truck without the 103a package. Can't get any fancy cameras, though the rear one is quite good. I think it's the same as other trim levels. I've read here that they took nav out of the 2025 xl's as well as hardware support for satellite radio, both of which my truck has.

I always wondered this. Because of the hybrid battery wouldn’t in theory the 3.5 engine have less miles on it since it’s not always using the ICE

80k powerboost has less “engine” miles than an 80k ecoboost?
That is a good point but, counterpoint.

The power boost is gonna have what, 30-50% more starts?

Start up as said to be where the most engine wear occurs

Yes but ...

I'd say closer to 4 or 5 x more starts than non PBs.

The but part ...

1) Other than the initial start up, which would be the same as any other ICE, the oil is warm and recently flowing through the engine.

2) Electric mode while driving, is seldom more than a few minutes in duration. Longer if in generator mode but still, there is a max, 20 minutes? It isn't a dry motor each start up.

3) On mine, the oil indicator shows at about 8:30 (clock face) when in electric mode. I don't have numbers on mine but wondering if there isn't a minimal flow?
