uhhh, the app notified me there was an update and I said yes, update. Is this now the bad version or a corrected version ?

edit: under settings it says it is version 2022.05.25 and it appears to be working...
If you see 2022.05.25, you're safe as well. I believe the bad version was 2022.05.25c.

I took the auto 2022.05.25 update as well and it does appear tp be working. I do have a question. My OTA status has show unknown for some time now thru several updates. I have been using FDRS to receive updates and have not received one over the air from ford since November. Does the Ford OTA status info time out after a couple months of no updates or is there an issue with the widget?

I've not confirmed this but others have said that the last OTA info only stays "live" for three months, then it disappears. That sounds like what you're seeing.

Hey @kennelh I allowed the update to broken version 2022.05.25c before I read your warning and my app broke. Your link in post #214 doesn't seem to work. Can you provide a link to download/sideload your 2022.05.30 version? THANK YOU ?

Here is the link to 2022.05.30 (it's the same as 2022.05.25, just a later version number). It got pushed to a separate branch instead of the master branch.

Version 2022.05.31 just uploaded. Notable in this release:
  • Ford Escape vehicles are now supported.
  • On EV/PHEV vehicles, a notification is sent when charging completes.
  • Android 9 devices can now save/restore settings, save log files, and save crash reports.
There is also an experimental feature (disabled by default) which will force vehicles to send an update if the last refresh is 6 or more hours old, as long as the vehicle is not in deep sleep and the 12V battery is at 13V or higher. NOTE: this may result in a drain on the 12V battery: use at your own risk.

I've also been working with a group of testers through the Play Store, and hopefully this version will also be available there shortly. Stay tuned.

I just got a update notice of 2022.5.31. Is this safe to update?

Anyone have luck getting the fordpass to update quicker ? While this widget is in fact updating as expected, when checking the fordpass app, it sometimes doesn't update for 12+ hours until a manual refresh forces it. I have both fordpass and this widget set to Not Optimized in battery settings on my Pixel 5a.

Other forums have mentioned Ford's SSM 50804 (2013-2023 Various Vehicles - 12 Volt Battery Drain When Using Third Party Phone Applications- Modems Activated Through FordPass Or LincolnWay) which suggests avoiding frequent updates. The last version of the app has an experimental feature to force an update every six hours if necessary, but it's use at your own risk.
