I have them disabled on my truck. You need to turn off text messaging to silent in the Phone settings within Sync, as well as turn off the "show preview" in Android Auto to eliminate the chimes and interruptions. You still get the notification bubble on the sidebar when new messages appear, but without any visual or audio cue.

Fully disconnect your phone from your truck by deleting your phone from the infotainment menu. Next add it again, and when prompt to "allow permission" to access your contacts, texts, emails, select NO on all of them. I have it to accept calls only.

I tried everything to stop Pandora from starting every time Android Auto started, and then kept playing in the background on my phone after leaving the truck, draining my battery. I would have to go into the app settings each time I drove my truck and force stop Pandora. My final solution was to just delete Pandora off my phone, didn't need the hassel.

Now I am trying to figure out how to stop my phone from automatically connecting to the truck's internal Wi-Fi link - some strange SID. I am paying for the ATT Wi-Fi in my truck and want my phone to connect to that instead. Only way I can get that to happen is to physically connect my phone via USB and then after repeated attempts to connect the ATT Wi-Fi instead of the truck's internal Wi-Fi, it will stay connected. I don't have a data plan on my phone and want a live Wi-Fi connection for Android Auto to be able to receive live traffic, police, etc. reports. Can't get those when connected through Truck's Wi-Fi. Anyone have a solution to this?
