Hi all,
On March 26, I selected a 2021 F-150 Platinum PB w/Max Tow, 7.2 kw, 700a pkg vin#1FTFW1ED5MFB43569 from my dealer's "coming soon" list that, I guess, is still sitting in a lot somewhere waiting on a chip.
On June 21, 2021 I asked the dealer to special order me a truck to my exact specs because special orders took priority. As of today, there still is no sign of delivery of the March selected truck. As of today, there is not even a VIN number generated for the June spec order. Responses from dealer are few and far between.
Am I being played?

The issue is more with the “high end” trucks. You aren’t the only one waiting, they must still have some part shortages for those.

I checked the tracker here (not the mach e) and it says the dealer ordered truck was Produced 3/22 and has an ETA End Date of 10/31 with Primary Status showing still In Production so most likely that means even though it has been built it must be waiting for chips.

As for the truck you ordered the VIN could be generated anytime so just keep bugging your dealer or you could do like I did and wait about 7 months and ask ? with any luck you won't have to wait that long.

Wolfman - can you post the URL that you used to find the order status, please? I'm in the same situation, although the my order was in early June. Dealer states "Unscheduled, Clear" and no VIN yet. I would just like some confirmation that Ford has my order.

Your June 21st order wasn't accepted until 7/12. It's still Unscheduled Clean but it's actually Priority 10 not 19

No problem. I'd wait it out for the truck you ordered. I'm assuming that your preview sheet they had at Priority 19. But when it went in 3 weeks later they submitted it at Priority 10. Definitely a plus

I think you're right Antimatter Tremor, priority was 19. I don't know how you found the info on the special order, but it is much appreciated. I will definitely wait for it since anything that shows up on other lots are priced about $5k over sticker. I hope my dealer will honor the "exclusive cash reward" from Ford that expired July 6.

I was promised invoice price plus any incentives that are active at the time. I read in Ford FAQ that they were honoring personalized incentives beyond expiration dates. ?

Everything is delayed and nothing makes sense. I ordered 3 identical Transits the same day and 1 will be a different model year and arrive months behind the others.

Can you tell me how you discovered my order was accepted on 7/12? Is this something I can track. My dealer won't respond to texts, emails or phone calls.
