Hi Dolsen! Just following the thread and wanted to know how you worked around the backordered MU2Z14S411SA wire assembly. I am getting ready to order the parts through different dealerships. It seems like everyone has a different discount for each part. The last wire assembly is going to be a pain to find. I checked a lot of pick a parts here in New Mexico, but no luck with one with heated rear seats.
It’s been a while since I’ve done this. Is that the center console harness? If it is I just ordered it through the Ford parts website when it came off back order.

I have a '24 XLT 302A that I am looking to add rear heated seats to. Following this thread so far I think I am right on track for everything needed for the rear seats and switch. I am lost at the connection point between the center console and rear seats.

In the list I noticed this harness;

MU2Z-14S411-SA (WPT-1687) - Pigtail for the connector to rear seat harness (List Price $59.55)

List price at the time was $59 and now MSRP seems to have gone to $263.64 ($163.56 on sale). So for the $100 more, is it better to find the center console harness that has been talked about in this thread that is already wired up? Does it even exist for a XLT? I have NO clue how to even go about finding one using the "Find a common VIN + Feature you want method." :-(

Then it wont be there. You will have to make it. Power runs to the BCM and the BCMB. The other wires are all the wires for the controls of the switches.
Assuming I need to go the route of the $160 MU2Z-14S411-SA harness, Are there any references to diagrams on how to wire this up myself? I have no problem making the harness, just need to know more about the details.

Is there a part number for the harness from the center console to the rear seat?
Just quoting you as you mentioned an XLT to see if you conquered this yet.

Curious, for those that have done this, how hard was it to install the seat heat pads? I've never tore apart a vehicle seat before. Sounds kind of intimidating.

Other than that, sound like just running wires and plugging them in. No problem on that front.

I think it took me 9 hours from start to finish (getting off my ass to finishing clean up). I had never taken apart a seat before either, but it wasn't terrible. The hardest part was removing and reattaching those clips that hold the seat leather to the seat cushion. But it still wasn't that bad IMO.

EDIT: I take that back, re wiring the center console was the hardest (most tedious) part of it all. I removed it, took it apart, ran the new wiring harness, and reinstalled it in a few hours. I did that on a separate day from taking apart the seats.

I know this is an older thread but would these by chance be the same parts for a 2025?

@Weller12 were you able to sort this out?
From my understanding the parts are the same for 2025, but I also have a question before I proceed if anyone knows...
I have a 2025 Lariat 501A.
I pulled the rear panel from the center console, and there is no plug on the harness for the heated seat buttons. Is that what the pigtail adapter MU2Z-14S411-SA (WPT-1687) is for ? If so where and how does that connect? Any help would be appreciated.
