It's like 12-13 seconds for me. And I don't know of a way to change that. As for part numbers the suffix is super important. One of the 9E731s is just the radar and another is the whole assembly with the bracket. Doesn't include the screws you need for the bracket though... Best bet is to find a truck with the feature you're trying to add in the same or similar trim level and a friendly parts department. Then compare what is on your truck to the one you are trying to match. That's how I found my numbers- I looked at a few trucks with ACC and compared part numbers. Then with that reference truck VIN you have something to compare on the as-built explorer for the Forscan mod.

If the bumper harness is present than what does connected to it look like?

Is it literally plug and play or is running/cutting/connecting wires necessary?

There is nothing prewired on the bumper harness if you don't already have the CCM.
So you need to either replace the bumper harness with one that has connections for the CCM, only "if" your truck is already pre wired for the CCM from the IPMA to the bumper harness connector.
If not, then no need replacing the bumper harness, as you'll need to make your own harness all the way from the CCM, through the engine bay, into the cab and into the IPMA connector.
Depending on your trim level determines if your truck is pre wired or not. If I'm correct, a 302A is prewired, so only need to swap the bumper harness, a base level 300 XLT is not, so a custom harness is needed. I believe everything 302A and above is prewired, but would need more people to check their rigs to verify this for certain. Then just assume everything 301A and below needs a custom harness.

The easiest way to check is to pull out the middle black IPMA connector and see if the four wires are populated or not. I need to take a picture of the differences and hopefully can tomorrow when by buddy with the 300A is here and we might start the process of adding it to his.

If you can take pictures that would be beyond awesome.
I have a 302A - forgive me for the series of laughably foolish questions that I am about to ask:

If I follow you correctly, the wires coming out of the IPMA already have wires leading to a harness behind the bumper but that harness does not have a place to plug in the CCM - so I don't need to touch anything inside of the truck, but there is a harness that I need to swap out so I have somewhere to plug in the CCM?

What else plugs into this bumper harness? Is it a pain to disconnect these other things then reconnect them to the new harness?

Thanks!

The bumper harness is connected to the fog lights, front air dam, pedestrian alert speaker, CCM, and maybe one other thing I can't remember. The ML3Z-15K867 bumper harness is the thing that needs to be swapped. I had a ML3Z-15K867-JA on my non ACC 302A. Comparing with ACC 302As at my dealer I found the part number which was ML3Z-15K867-NA for the harness that had the ACC radar connector (and the parking sensor radars but I didn't install those sensors).

Wasn't too hard to disconnect all the stuff, take it one connector at a time and follow the routing of the previous harness. There's a bunch of plastic clips/connectors that hold the harness. There's a good thread on this forum about wire harness replacement (search for adding parking sensors to a 600A king ranch) that shows pictures of how to do this.

@rand0mus3r Yep you got it, and since you have a 302A, you "should" be good to go with just needing to swap the bumper harness, but good to double check before hand.
The harness I used is ML3Z-15K867-MA which for w/LED fog light, w/o front park assist, w/ IACC, and I have a 3.5 EB so I don't have the front pedestrian alert like @JaHoova needs, so keep that in mind as well when searching for harnesses.
The front bumper harness is pretty simple to swap, just take the front bumper off and swap it out. Take your time and it's pretty easy.

My buddy with the 300A was around today so got a game plan to get his done and installed.

Here is a picture of his truck that ISN"T prewired for the CCM, this is the middle connector from the IPMA, C424B, notice the missing pins on 9, 18, 19, 20. These are the pins that we need to populate with a custom harness from here straight to the CCM.

Howdy Folks!

I'm new to this forum, to Ford, to F150s, to Forscan and to American vehicles in general. I got rid of my Subaru WRX STI and just purchased a 2021 F150 XLT 302A. This truck is a thing of dreams.

The first major mod I'm going to attempt is going to be ACC (including steering wheel switch) and front parking sensors, which my truck lacks. It does have lane keeping and the camera up top, not sure what it does yet.

Just wanted to say thank you for all the good info in this thread. I hope I can pull this off.

So more good news today, finally had time to move everything back to my standard "built with" IPMA to try out. Just copied everything, the entire config from my advanced IPMA that has been working flawlessly since I got things working. My standard IPMA loaded everything just fine in forscan, fired everything back up, gave it a test, and you wouldn't even know I was running my original IPMA now! Everything from ACC, to lance centering to IACC and TRS worked just the same with no difference at all.

So with that being said, I think it's confirmed so far that as long as you have an IPMA, single reverse camera to multi 360 camera, you can easily add ACC with everything else by just adding the CCM sensor and wiring it back to the IPMA.

Is it possible for you to put together a list of the forscan changes you had to make?

I know you the specific changes are unique - but at least a general list if possible.

Thanks

At some point I may have time to write that up. In the meantime use the as-built explorer and trucks with the features you want as well as the forscan sheet to find the changes. I wanted a quick list/plug and play solution but I found that digging through it made me understand what was going on in a way reading a list wouldn't. Makes it easier to understand how to fix stuff if Ford ever drops changes that mess up your as builts.

I really didn’t take pics or anything.. I would be more than happy to send you what changes I made.. I hand wrote everything down and it worked first shot. I was shocked minus a few things in the IPC I missed.

You’ll be happy to know that Forscan fixed it for me so you’ll be able to program the ccm. You won’t have that hurdle to overcome.

Can I ask why you need a new bumper?

I added the ccm and the front two side obstacle modules which are the same part number as the two rear bliss modules in the taillight.
Good afternoon Jesse. I have a 2021 f150 xlt 302A. I'm wanting to add 360 cams and adaptive cruise control along with the other little things. I have already purchased the CCM and the front number harness. Still awaiting the forscan adapter. I was curious if you have any info, tips or tricks you could share with me to make this a painless job. I would even throw you a few bucks at ya. Thanks.

I finally got it all working today .. this was my actual tea reaction to first time testing it

Would you be able to repost/dm the video? I’m unable to view it.
This is something that I’ve been interested in adding to my f-150 since I bought it and I’m excited that it seems very possible now

Where did you find the truck VIN to use to compare?

Just looked around dealer website for a similar enough truck to one's own?

I plugged my own VIN into https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt and honestly have no idea what it was showing me lol

You are looking at the file that sets the features and settings used on your truck. That as built file can be run through http://www.compulsivecode.com/Project_AsBuiltCompare.aspx to let you compare that file between multiple trucks. And yes I went to a dealer and found a truck on the lot. Can also search the forum in the order tracking thread. You're looking for an early 21 (Job 1) to have the best match if that is what your truck is. Then it shows you which as-builts are different. From there you use the forscan spreadsheet to see what the differences mean. Then to enable the ACC you change the relevant as-builts on your truck to match the reference one.

I think I may have a hard time finding a truck to compare to

I have a '22 302A - I feel like not many of those came with ACC

I found a handful in about a minute, just look around, pretty easy, use Autotrader, Ebay, any other site that gives you a VIN and good info and pictures to compare too.
