Adding these to torque for the road trip we're currently taking. Thanks! Only thing I've changed so far is the HVB current sign. My brain processes negative as a discharge whereas it looks like the truck calls negative a charge. These trucks are certainly impressive. I'm even posting this...
You don't actually need the buttons if you don't mind not being able to adjust follow distance. It defaulted to 3 bars for me and I haven't missed not being able to change it so far.
About to jump back into the FDRS rabbit hole after 9months away. Can someone please give me a head's up on what I'm about to get myself into? VIN 1FTFW1ED4MFB09963
Already made the "forget" mistake with a fiberglass CB antenna on the stake pocket mount. They're quite loud when they snap...
In other news, I'm working on designing a clearance height sensor with an ultrasonic sonar and Arduino to give me a "hey idiot take the antenna down before entering...
I'm a big time ham radio and GMRS guy and I have to say I really like that 3rd brake mount. Unfortunately my garage is short so I can't get any antennas up there. Went with hood channel mounts from Comet NCG and stake pocket mounts from Breedlove machine shop instead. Though if I ever get a...
Due to some work and life commitments I've been out of the game since June since I added adaptive cruise to my 2021 Job 1 XLT Powerboost. Now that I have some time I'd like to pay the 3 day license and do some updating. I'm trying to read the last couple hundred pages of this thread, but are...
@kozachochek in response to your question 3, the more similar you make them the easier the comparisons will be. That being said they don't have to be the same. When you compare as-builts you have to use the forscan spreadsheet to note what the differences are coding for. So if you don't have...
@rand0mus3r I didn't install the switch. Just used the default 3 car setting which has been fine for me so far.
@Efrommel the -NA harness doesn't include anything about mirrors. Nor does it include the front camera. Those are on something else which will require some further research...
I can't figure out how to get the link and not have it insert the sheet, so if someone knows how to do that please help. But that's the 2021 forscan sheet we're referring to.
For FDRS updates you basically need the mongoose. The OBDlink MX should work fine for forscan only but it isn't capable of doing module updates. This spreadsheet includes the module numbers and descriptions of the settings: The key is to look at the differences and then go to the spreadsheet...
When I plugged the CCM in and tried to see it in Forscan nothing showed up. I needed to change the following in the IPMA to have it give power and/or relay the CAN bus to/from the CCM:

You are looking at the file that sets the features and settings used on your truck. That as built file can be run through http://www.compulsivecode.com/Project_AsBuiltCompare.aspx to let you compare that file between multiple trucks. And yes I went to a dealer and found a truck on the lot...
At some point I may have time to write that up. In the meantime use the as-built explorer and trucks with the features you want as well as the forscan sheet to find the changes. I wanted a quick list/plug and play solution but I found that digging through it made me understand what was going...
The bumper harness is connected to the fog lights, front air dam, pedestrian alert speaker, CCM, and maybe one other thing I can't remember. The ML3Z-15K867 bumper harness is the thing that needs to be swapped. I had a ML3Z-15K867-JA on my non ACC 302A. Comparing with ACC 302As at my dealer I...
It's like 12-13 seconds for me. And I don't know of a way to change that. As for part numbers the suffix is super important. One of the 9E731s is just the radar and another is the whole assembly with the bracket. Doesn't include the screws you need for the bracket though... Best bet is to...
You probably will also want a new wiring harness for the bumper unless you want to go the Jesse route and make your own. Since you have the XLT 302A the CCM wiring is probably present to the front bumper connector already making the wiring harness the simplest option. This thread has a good...
I don't think connected nav is the issue. I don't have it and I got it working today and didn't have any errors on TSR (once I figured out that I was missing a setting causing the whole thing to kick off). Only drove it about 20 minutes though, so we'll see if it's truly working over the next...
