@rand0mus3r I didn't install the switch. Just used the default 3 car setting which has been fine for me so far.
Dido, I haven't installed the switch either and the 3 length setting works fine for me as well. I have the switch and might try it eventually, just haven't got around to it yet.

Ok, i I want to add the 360 camera to my XLT 302a I need to get the bumper harness, and the mirrors, but what are the wiring for the mirrors with cameras?
Already got the correct iPMA, and the front camera, just need the bumper harness, CCM and the mirrors with wiring.
Strange enough, on my 501A, the front was already pre-wired for that camera, from the IPMA to the connector right next to the hood latch, grill shutter actuator. Not sure if you 302A would be as well or not. I can't help you much on adding the cameras as haven't gone down that road but @Jesse-Infotainment sure has. The harness you're talking about is just for the CCM, the cameras are all ran separately and differently. I do know though that you'll have to get crafty and change the IPMA connector pin for the rear camera as that is on the second camera connector for the 360 camera IPMA versus in the first and only camera connector on the standard base IPMA.

You guys are amazing.
And a tenacious group.
Thanks ? , but what you guys are doing over in the update thread is just as equally impressive if not more. I tried to keep up with that for a while, but got busy and fell behind, a lot of info to keep up on over there. Hopefully here sometime I can dip into that eventually, one project at a time!

@superfordman I also have a 501a, and want to add ACC and lane centering. I haven’t dug as deeply into forscan, just did some basic stuff on my 2017 in the past.

Did you keep a list of changes for your truck while adding adaptive? I’ve downloaded as-builts from similar VINs but haven’t hashed out all the changes using the comparison tool. Hoping for some guidance/courage to get this process rolling.

Do you happen to have the part # for the switch?

@Efrommel ML3Z-9E731-B appears to be the part number for the distance sensor for a 2021

@Jesse-Infotainment I have a 501a - would you be able send me the forscan changes you made?

Hi everyone!

I'm preparing an install for of ACC w/ steering wheel swatch and front parking sensors. I am going to write it up for the community and do my part. As I prepare I have a few questions:
  1. Do you guys disconnect battery before pulling wires, then reconnect when programing? Or just leave it connected.
  2. Could someone please point me to the calibration procedure for CCM and/or service manual?
  3. When comparing trucks in as-built explorer, how accurate do the module selections need to be? i.e:
    1. I have a 2021 XLT 302A (sport, high tech package), w/rear camera, w/rear parking sensors, w/o front parking sensors, w/o TRS, w/o trailer break, w/o 360 cameras, w/o ACC, w/o hill descent control
    2. I found a 2021 XLT 302A fully loaded. w/rear camera, w/rear parking sensors, w/ front parking sensors, w/ TRS, w/ trailer break, w/ 360 cameras, w/ ACC, w/o FX4 stuff
    3. I have not found a truck with just the features I would like to add: w/ front sensors, w/ ACC, w/o: Trailor Break, TRS, hill descent control and 360. I don’t think I will find this.
  4. As no one has posted an attempt at installing steering wheel ACC switch:
    1. Do you think it will be direct plug in, or will it need different wiring?
    2. Do you think it will be plug and play, so long that CCM is activated in forscan with the right codes, or will the switch have its own activation of some sort?
  5. My donor truck has an extra switch above the infotainment center. Its a manual switch for turning parking aids on/off.
    1. Will I need to switch this out too or just use the digital button on infotainment?
    2. Same as above, would this switch be plug and play?

I would gladly buy that from you, let me know.

Did this come off your raptor? Just curios if that one is different some how with the -DDW at the end instead of just ML3T-9E740-D. I'm still trying to get the hang of all the numbering systems ford uses and the differences.

Yes, well kinda, it was a process to get everything changed. I need to get everything written up and shared out, but it's not as easy as change these values and be done, it specific to everyone's trim and options, so needs to be worked through on an individual basis. Plus needs the CCM programmed to your VIN using forscan and CCM calibrated to begin with. Once by buddy gets his 300A wired up I can test the process fully from start to finish to get everything enabled and working.

Do you happen to have the part # for the switch?

After getting this module with the bracket, ill need the IPMA advance and the harness for my XLT 302a to have the ACC working as stated before? or ill need something else?

@rand0mus3r Yep you got it, and since you have a 302A, you "should" be good to go with just needing to swap the bumper harness, but good to double check before hand.
The harness I used is ML3Z-15K867-MA which for w/LED fog light, w/o front park assist, w/ IACC, and I have a 3.5 EB so I don't have the front pedestrian alert like @JaHoova needs, so keep that in mind as well when searching for harnesses.
The front bumper harness is pretty simple to swap, just take the front bumper off and swap it out. Take your time and it's pretty easy.

My buddy with the 300A was around today so got a game plan to get his done and installed.

Here is a picture of his truck that ISN"T prewired for the CCM, this is the middle connector from the IPMA, C424B, notice the missing pins on 9, 18, 19, 20. These are the pins that we need to populate with a custom harness from here straight to the CCM.

I can confirm with my 302a w/o 360 cameras I do not have those four wires either which is kinda disappointing

When you made the harness for the ccm to the ipma, how did you make it?
I bought the OEM ford pigtail(WPT-1198) and bought a 4 conductor cable and put it together. I ran it inside. Its easy enough to do. All trucks are prewired from the bumper harness to the connector on the fender well. IF you wanted to go that route. It was too much of a pain for me the connector on the fender is very tight and hard to access.
