Add On Keypad at Dealer

I went to my dealer today to have the trailer brake controller recall corrected. That operation took about an hour. I also asked them to program a stick on remote keypad. The dealer told me that they were unable to program it because the Ford web service was not working. How is that possible? They told me that they need to access the web service to get to Ford security to program the key pad. How can this be true?

Is there any way to do this at home? Perhaps FORSCAN?

You can add the factory pad. Do some searches and you can find instructions. The wiring is in the door. I did it on my previous 2019 and the procedure is the same.

Wiring in the door? How does it connect if it's a stick on? Drill a hole?
