The prior year keypad very likely operates on a different frequency.

My key fobs for my 24 STX are FCC ID: N5F-A08TBLP, model A08TBLP, part PC3T-15K601-HA which operate at 434 MHz. Prior year key fobs show as FCC ID: N5F-A08TAA, model A08TAA, which operate at 315 MHz.

I suspect that is why you can’t get the prior year keypad to work, based on the different MHz frequencies.

Thanks for that info.
Looking forward to getting this sorted out at some point as I used that keypad all the time on my previous Fords.

As many have mentioned, starting with 2024, Ford changed the radio frequency (434 MHz) of its keyfobs and the wireless stick-on keypads. With that said, I recently bought and installed an OEM wireless keypad, SK4Z-14A626-A. For some reason, when you google that part number, many sites call it an "Actuator Assembly." I rolled the dice and got what I expected. You will need to either bring the truck to the dealership to have the computer programmed or use FDRS to do it yourself. I opted for the latter since most dealerships were asking for $200, and a FDRS 2-day license is $50.

There doesn't seem to be too much info on this so I figured I'd share.

Bump. Still nobody else?

Damn I miss that keypad
I'm part of Ford driver's connection. About a month ago they asked if I wanted to be a part of it. This is where we talk about things like this. I can tell you this is been discussed to death. I can assure you Ford has heard how pissed off everybody is about this. For the naysayers this has actually affected sales. Dealerships have documented with Ford motor company that they have lost new sales due to the keypad. People are opting for newer used vehicles with the keypad. During a zoom meeting it was overwhelmingly voted by everyone to bring the damn thing back. So hopefully Ford listens.

Thanks for the info.

When you used FDRS and got into the BCM, did it ever ask for a dealer login? It does that if you try to use FDRS to update BCM. Just curious.

Also do you like the gas door location. I think that’s a good idea and where I’m planning to mount mine too I think.

Finally did you have to relearn any keyfobs after installing the keypad?

Thanks.

You do have to log in to FDRS as a non-dealer/independent repairer to go through the programming steps. Assuming you are using the latest version of FDRS, the login will be the same as the one you use at ford.com.

You should not have to relearn any keyfobs.

I don't use the keypad that often, so placing it inside the gas door works well and I found it to be a bit "chunky"/ugly to place it on the driver's door. It works well and I think you would be pleased with it.

don't you have to open the fuel door from inside the truck? On my 24 power boost,
the small button on the dash is the only way to open it.

No fuel door lock/latch on the STX. Sounds like on the upper trims that not a good place to put it.
